Five Titans start off-season with surgery

For NFL players, the end of the season often means surgery to fix the various body parts that were damaged during the last few months. On the Tennessee Titans, five players have gone under the knife.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Titans defensive tackle Tony Brown (knee), safety Michael Griffin (shoulder), cornerback Nick Harper (shoulder), safety Kevin Kaesviharn (shoulder) and long snapper Ken Amato (knee) all had surgery recently.

In the case of Brown, his injury forced him to miss the Titans’ Week Seventeen game, but he delayed the surgery because he was holding out hope that he’d make the Pro Bowl as an alternate.

Yes, an injured player actually wanted to play in the Pro Bowl.

All five Titans are expected to be healthy enough to participate in the off-season program.

I hope while they were cutting them open, they looked in to see if they had a heart!

The Titans showed quite a bit of heart by finishing 8-8 after starting 0-6.
