Shockey will play

Jeremy Shockey will play in the NFC Championship, according to CBS’ Lesley Visser.

A NFL Network report surfaced Saturday that Shockey was expected to suit up after participating in the team’s walkthrough practice. He didn’t practice Wednesday-through-Friday.

Shockey is a key cog for the Saints, but they can survive without him as a big part of the passing game. He was fourth on the team in receiving yards, one of seven Saints to top 300 yards.
