Ravens line up candidates to replace Jackson

J.Flacco-2.jpgFinding a coordinator for Jay Cutler is hard.

Finding a quarterbacks coach for Joe Flacco, not so much.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Ravens already have two candidates to replace Hue Jackson, who is headed to Oakland.

They will interview Al Saunders, who is already on staff, and former Redskins head coach Jim Zorn.

Zorn is still getting paid by the Redskins, but this would allow him to get back into coaching without having to uproot his family.  The money Zorn would make in Baltimore would be deducted from what the Redskins owe him.

Interesting…Flacco certainly needs to be coached up.

Jim Zorn is a fantastic QB coach, This would be a huge upgrade.

Next year, the Steelers are going to pluck the Ratbirds. Hell will be unleased and I can’t wait for the Steelers to make yet another Super Bowl appearance. HA!

Poor Hue Jackson. He is now supposed to be the “savior” for Jamarcus.
Zorn could be perfect for Flacco. People that want to crap on Zorn are idiots. He was put in a horrible position by an organization that doesn’t allow people to do their jobs.
Saunders wouldn’t be bad either, but I’m looking forward to the Zorn comments. Still, poor Hue Jackson.

Yeah Zorn would be perfect???? What are you smokin? Ask jason Campbell and the Skins how PERFECT Zorn was! Pull your head out! Flacco will miss Jackson, he was great for Flacco

    Here is a Zorm comment
    I agree with you.
I also think he will have to uproot his family, that drive from Ashburn to Baltimore is not a short ride. Although the Redskins use the name Washington, they are an hour outside DC.

Surrounded by an awesome cast of coaches and coordinators in Baltimore… Zorn will fit in fine

    I’m not a Ravens fan, but you’re a dork.

Campbell and Zorn looked pretty good against those Raiders last year, as I recall…

As a redskins fan, I can tell you first hand, Zorn will do fine as a qb coach, maybe even great. just don’t let him call plays.

Hey Baltimore, you have our official permission to interview Bob Bratkowski for your open coaching position.

That’s a typical D-bag Steeler fan comment. And what about the Bengals who now have a better defense than they do?

Go screw yourself, lurch. Nobody asked you. Sack of pus.

    HEy Lurch,
Don’t forget the Browns, Raiders, and Chiefs, who all were better than the Steelers on occasion this year…

I still can’t believe the Bengals didn’t make the Super Bowl. I was sure they were a lock.

Zorn wasn’t a good playcaller but I think he has shown he can do well as a QB coach. I believe Jason Campbell had the best season of his career(yds, TDs, YPA, Pct, QB rating) despite the Skins’ offensive line problems.

Jesus is this where Al Saunders has been? at one point he was regarded as the best O-Coordinator in football, and after 1 failed season as a Rams O-Coordinator in which the Rams must’ve had 390403949030943 different O-Line combinations he isn’t even good enough to be a Coordinator anymore? People are retarded. I’d love to have this guy back in St. Louis, and the Bears should be looking into him, as should the Niners. So many teams can use this guys talent.

Zorn made matt hasselback into what he was and he can do the same with Bazooka Joe! Nothing would be sweeter then for the blackbirds to head to the superbowl with Zorny talking smack about the IDIOT who runs the skins and the leprechaun who’s already being run out of town:) Most importantly to Roboto and all the other Fans of the Rapist Quarterbacking, Pot smoking MVP, Omar Epps looking AFC NORTH 3rd place steelers Flacco with a big wide out is going to make ANY QB coach look like a Genius! Ray rice up the middle, true #1 + mason equals trouble for any defense!
Here’s hoping Ray get’s his shot to go out with another superbowl win next year!

Did I just read someone make an argument against Zorn because of Jason Campbell? Isn’t there a saying about chicken salad and chicken crap that we can file that under?
Next you’ll tell me Schottenheimer is a bad Jets OC because their pass offense was 31st.

I picture “roboto” being 42, living in his mother’s basement, long greasy hair, fat and sloppy, smoking dope and collecting welfare. Oh, lets not forget the poster of lil ben rapistberger he’s masturbating to !!!

  21. John Harbaugh's Dad says: Jan 27, 2010 11:06 PM

Zorn’s track record as a QB coach is excellent and he seems like a nice man, I’d love to see him get a chance with a first class organization such as the Ravens. (Yes, to all you idiot Redskin fans who think we are rivals, this is implying the Redskins are NOT a first class organization.)
