Saints coach Sean Payton is known for protecting his injury information closely. His players don’t always take the same approach.
On Jeremy Shockey’s Twitter page Tuesday, the hobbled tight end revealed an interesting piece of information.
“Damn just got back from b’ham,” Shockey wrote, referring to Birmingham, Alabama. “i missed our team diner… Gnight everyone.”
Shockey doesn’t say what he did during his “long ass day” but Birmingham is the location of Dr. James Andrews’ office. Shockey been slowed in the playoffs by a knee injury.
“I felt like a pogo stick out there on one leg, but I have no doubt in
my mind it’ll be a lot better in two weeks,” Shockey said Monday. “It’s probably a three- or
four-week injury, but there was no way I was going miss that game.
There’s no way I’m going to miss the next one, either.”
No matter what was found regarding Shockey’s knee Tuesday, it would be a shock if he spent another Super Bowl in a luxury box.
Why, can’t he affort the luxury box?
“i missed our team diner… Gnight everyone.”
Translation: I was at the bar most of the day, and I’m really F-upd. Gonna’ crash and sleep it off!
Must be a great bar there… or maybe a coke dealer.
Even if he couldn’t play I’m sure the Saints would actually pay for his flight and let him be on the sideline during the game. He could slam Jack and Gatorade with the team and not be banned to the press box this time.
“Shockey been slowed in the playoffs by a knee injury.”
Shcokey has been slowed by various injuries his entire career. As big of a pain in the ass he is, combined with his knack to get injured, I don’t see him offering much value to any teams in the coming years.
besides Dr James Andrew…there are alot of thick fine vanilly and chocolatey women in b-ham…how do u kno he didn’t go see them?
So, Shockey has a chance to choke away another Superbowl. Wunderbar. The bar is set high, but I’m sure he can do it.

Best thing the Giants did was keep that cancer away from the players
Kevin Boss is a better player then Shitkey every will be the kid blocks he throws his body around with out care and his arms never shrink when he goes across the middle
He sucked and that is why he is in NO as any fan can recall no Tiki no Shockey = Winning
So let the Saints take his sorry ass to Fl he knows all the scanks in south beach so he will help the team get over the ass licking they are about to get
Payton does not throw ints when the game is on the line so no lucky breaks for the aints
Maybe he was just getting more ink. Heard N.O. doesn’t have many of those parlors in town so he’s got to go somewhere…

The Giants offered to pay for his flight, but he was upset with the timing, and chose instead to get his own. The Giants offered him a spot on the sideline, but he declined, claiming the cast on his foot would be in the way. Shockey was huge for a couple of years, but in the end, he was an arm flapping, smack talking nobody. Glad the G-men dumped his sorry ass. The Saints will get one good year from him, and this, I’m afraid, is it. Shockey is a walking injury report and a Diva, sorry Saints fans, but this was the honeymoon. It’s all downhill from here. (flash forward 2 weeks so we can hear Shockey saying:”We lost the SuperBowl because Drew didn’t get me the ball enough! We were outcoached!”
Probably hard to find any fan of Big Blue that misses that dope. At this point in his career, he is a 2nd or 3rd TE with long hair and a personality. Nothing more…and not even a good personality.
