After a second straight disappointing season, surprise Pro Bowler Kyle Vanden Bosch expects the Titans to let him hit the unrestricted free agent market this offseason.
“There’s a better chance than not that this is it,” said the 31-year-old. ”The Titans have given me no indication that they would like to re-sign me. Maybe it is a time for a fresh start somewhere else.”
Vanden Bosch has just eight sacks over the past two seasons while battling injuries that have cost him seven games and parts of others. He will still draw plenty of interest on a paper-thin open market.
Tennessee’s lone in-house option to replace Vanden Bosch at right defensive end is Dave Ball. Ball is a restricted free agent and has never been more than a spot player. The Titans have been connected to defensive ends in mock drafts, though they also need help at cornerback.
but… he’s a pro-bowler!
no thanks not even in B-lo
LOL that Mock Draft has INDY at #32….we’ll see
Vanden Bosch would look good in the green and gold.
Jacob Ford is a better option than David Ball at right defensive end, but we’ll still need to draft someone early in the draft.
“Vanden Bosch would look good in the green and gold”
You mean green and yellow…
Come on home stone cold. I have NO IDEA why the cards let you get away in the first place. Cards need a pass rusher. Especially after Berry left.
Yeah, where does Vanden Bosch fit in the 3-4? He’d be a much better fit in Chicago, cause has always played in a 4-3 as a DE.
maybe KVB can be a DC Deadskin, because he’s not much when he’s NOT lining up next to Fat Albert Haynesworth…
He’s still a hard worker with a high motor, but most LTs/OCs seem to have him figured out: use his aggressiveness to run himself right out of the play
Big Daddy Al will write you a fat check come on over to the dark side!
We’ll coach him up in the 3-4 down in Miami…
