Malcolm Kelly can freestyle

Redskins wide receiver Malcolm Kelly was the No. 51 overall draft pick in 2008.  He was a dominant talent in college, but was red-flagged by NFL teams because of injuries to both knees.

The reports have been proven true by Kelly’s pro career to this point.  Though he has flashed in limited opportunities, Kelly has mostly been a disappointment because of his inability to separate from defensive backs.  He has also been no threat after the catch, as he was at Oklahoma.
Whether Kelly develops into a starting-caliber NFL wide receiver doesn’t affect us.  Neither does his rapping ability.  But we have to show a little bit of respect for his alleged freestyle after the 2008 Nebraska-Oklahoma game.  Kelly does not lack for lyrical talent.

Why didn’t you just post the original version, not some stupid amateur’s remix of it?
    Original and better version:

…i can’t believe this is seriously article-worthy, especially since it happened two years ago.

he will improve when he gets Sam Bradford or Jimmy Clausen passing to him, he has good size, he won’t have a 1000 yard season, but he will be a good number 2 to Devin Thomas.

Nothing beats all the purple drink, lean, codeine references. I’m sure the NFL just loves that.

Damn, I hate the week before the Super Bowl… nothing but “the Pro Bowl sucks” and and filler stories.
More draft talk. I want estimated 40 times and a players race. Thats all I need to know to see if he will be any good. Whose the latest black kid with a 4.3 forty? He’s a top 5.

4skins are going nowhere as all their draft picks have been busts and they do not have many picks again to develop a strong young base. The only way you win in this league is through the draft and they have failed miserably. Their team is really bad shape right now and I bet zorny is counting his money and ecstatic he is with a reputable organization instead of that circus he just left.
I predict shanny fired in 2-3 yrs after they finish last every yr in the nfc east.

Malcom Kelly can freestyle: he just can’t play football.

Silva please dont talk about things you know nothing about. He wasnt freestyling he was just rapping something that was already written. Freestyling is when you make it up on the spot.
Players around him already knew the words and you could tell he wasnt thinking he was just reciting.

  23. mcarey032 says: Jan 31, 2010 11:58 PM

Breaking news. . . Malcolm Kelly can’t catch or break away from receivers. In other news. . . He can deliver. . . UPS packages on time because that is what he is going to be doing once his time in the NFL is up and that should be pretty soon.

Thanks for this post Evan… I’m very fortunate that you are around to talk 2008 sports with us. Maybe next you can report on Terry Bradshaw being dead… That’s and inside joke Evan, pass it up further on the food chain to someone who gets it.

@boysroll…Orakpo the pro bowler was a bust? What about Chris Horton or Fred Davis?…funny how the fan of a team who won its first playoff game since Jordan still played for the Bulls now knows what it takes to compete year in and year out…And just to prove you wrong we have all of our picks, we used one in the supplemental draft to get Jeremy Jarmon who showed flashes in limited time b4 getting injured…get a clue.
