The wife of former Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek was discovered dead Monday morning at their Burleson home in Texas.
The cause of death is unknown, but at 8:05 a.m. Monday Burleson police and fire departments responded to “a report of medical emergency, possibly suicide” at the couple’s residence. The body was found in the bedroom.
Novacek confirmed his wife’s death to NBC Sports. He did not confirm whether it was a suicide.
Novacek played 11 years in the league, mostly for Dallas. He made five Pro Bowls.
LeAnne Novacek, 45, is survived by her husband and their daughter McKinley.
