Vick says he's still a top 10 quarterback

In a Monday appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Mike Vick was asked to identify where he thinks he ranks among NFL quarterbacks.

Top 10, to be honest,” Vick said.  “I’m confident in my skills.”

Still, Vick said he wouldn’t rule out a return to Philly.  “I would really have to think about it,” Vick said.  “I like the
coaching staff.  I like the people around there.  Maybe I would do it.
Who knows?”

He’s not a top 10 qb, he never was. He is the number 1 dog killer, however. he ran a concentration camp for dogs. The Eagles and Vick are a joke.

  6. bigbolt says: Feb 1, 2010 10:39 PM

Vick wasn’t even a top 10 QB in the league when he was in his prime with the Falcons. The dude can’t throw a pea in the ocean.

I could give a shit about the dogs this loser killed but top 10 QB? He must have shocked himself at some point too. Never consistent as a QB and never will be. GARBAGE!!

  8. Zero says: Feb 1, 2010 10:42 PM

I know it’s been said 100 x before but Vick is going to end up in the Dawg Pound. No way the Eagles will keep 3 QB’s with that talent and money due.

Maybe the Browns will sign him and he can be in charge of the dog pound?

  14. thebootguy says: Feb 1, 2010 10:46 PM

Top 10 QB? Vick should be made by some act of God to feel the same pain the losing dogs felt!!! This pathetic excuse for a human being should have never been allowed back in the NFL!!! Neither should have Leonard Little, neither should Donte’ Stallworth!!!! You become a CONVICTED FELON, you no longer have an option to play pro football!!!

  15. hsf09 says: Feb 1, 2010 10:47 PM

Love him or hate him he sold alot of tickets in Atlanta as well as other stadiums he played in. So if you can bring in the money someone will pay you the money.
I think he still has the ability to be a better option than some teams currently have at QB.

Gotta love how vick the beagel keeps his options open to returning to the eagles……if no one else shows interest then he has no options. He never was a top 10 qb and never will be, all he could do was run and now even those skills have eroded. He was a top 10 “paid” QB but was never worth it. any team that would sign him is a losing team that only wants to put people in the stands becuz of the “marketing opportunity” he would present. Like one other poster said, Vick couldn’t throw a pea in the ocean.

    Of current QB’s.
Manning, Brady, Brees, Favre, Rivers, Rodgers, Big Ben, Palmer, Romo, Eli, Mcnabb. (No specificd order. )
There is eleven. I dont think any one could make much of a case to replace one of the above starters for Vick. And some of the other teams that are not going to make a change at the position like the Jets, Falcons, Ravens, 49ers, Panthers, Jaguars I believe Vick is better than the current QB’s on these teams but those teams are looking to build on the youth of what they have at the position.
    But on the other hand:
Buffalo, Dolphins, Browns, Chiefs, Raiders, Redskins, Bucs, Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks would be getting an upgrade at the QB position than what they currently have.
Even Vikes if Favre does not come back could be better with Vick than Sage or TJack.
So I could say top 15.

  25. thoroughbred_30 says: Feb 1, 2010 11:04 PM

Vick can be a top 10 QB! The man doesn’t play it the way you want him too. Bottom line.. he moved chains and won games. The ONLY stat that matters is the W/L column. When he gets his chance again, judge him on that.

    I am a Bills fan. I know, I know.
I’m not a Michael Vick fan at all and I don’t think he is a top QB, but I would rather have him watch my dog while I’m on vacation than sit through watching Trent and Fitz play another season.

I think he has served his term in prison and we are not on this earth to judge…
I would love to see Vick end up in AZ I think it would be a great fit for him, with ATL he never had a good option at WR. Plus the Cards don’t want to put it all on Leinhart, bring Vick in and let em go head to head in trainning camp best man wins. But Vick with those weapons on onfense would be scary.

  34. .VoxVeritas says: Feb 1, 2010 11:16 PM

“i’d love to see him list the QBs that he is better than”
Before the season Florio said that he’s better than Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Jake Delhomme, Kyle Orton, Matthew Stafford, Daunte Culpepper, David Garrard, Tarvaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfels, Mark Sanchez, Jeff Garcia, Jamarcus Russell, Alex Smith, Shaun Hill, Byron Leftwich, Kerry Collins, and Jason Campbell.
And comparable to Trent Edwards, Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Schaub, Matt Cassel, and Chad Pennington.
Basically Florio said that the only QBs that were better than Vick were both Mannings, McNabb, Brady, Warner, Ryan, Flacco, Cutler, Palmer, Brees, Rapistberger, Rivers and Hasselbeck.
The 0-3gles paid just short of $9,000 per yard gained by Vick in ’09. $8,839.78 per yard, in fact. Or $533,333.33 per TD, if you prefer.

  59. tatum32 says: Feb 2, 2010 12:46 AM

a lot of people on this board were probably quite as church mice when Vick PUNKED the Pack at Lambeau in the playoffs. No one could develop an offense to take part of his skills, and he never really developed, but he is a talent.

  60. dlmcc0909 says: Feb 2, 2010 12:54 AM

Michael Vick wasnt even a top ten QB in his prime. He was overpaid based on what the Falcons thought his ceiling would be. Matt Ryan in his second year is already a better passer than Vick ever was.
McNabb said it best when he mentioned gimmick plays. Thats all the guy is good for. Ask the Jets if they would trade Sanchez for him. Theyd laugh in your face. Vick never was and never will be a good passer. Once the legs slow down then we will see him working the drive thru at your local McDonalds

  61. GoBowns says: Feb 2, 2010 12:55 AM

No, no no. Vick was misquoted. What he really said was that he is a top 10 dog killer, a top ten dog torturer, a top 10 liar, a top 10 scum bag and one of the worst people in the world.

  62. Dennis says: Feb 2, 2010 12:59 AM

    Of course he thinks that.
But he’s wrong. I don’t think he was ever top 10. He certainly isn’t know. I didn’t see anything from him this season to really show that he’s top 20 even.

  63. Howie Handles says: Feb 2, 2010 1:03 AM

I tell ya, if he would have said this after he beat GB in a playoff game on the road, I would have agree with him. However, having seen many of his games since then, he has regressed, and I can only imagine his game being even worse now.
Fantastic athlete, yes; Top 10 QB, probably only on the Mean Machine.

  64. NinerNation says: Feb 2, 2010 1:23 AM

I wouldn’t say Vick is better than anyone except Jamarcus Russell. What exactly did Vick do this year to make you all think he’s so amazing?
He’s not the same QB he was with the Falcons. That Vick is gone, now you have an older, slower guy who still can’t throw an accurate ball to save his life.
Michael Vick sucks, he has always sucked, and he will always suck.

Vick was NEVER a Top 10 QB. Anyone who believes that either has amnesia, or is delusional. He was the best RUNNING QB in the league, but as for passing (and this IS still, and was, a passing league), he was among the worst starters in the league. JaMarcus-like arm strength does you no good when you can’t hit the broad side of a barn from 10 feet away.
Let’s not forget that Vick has left his best years behind him at Leavenworth. He needs to get a normal 9-5 job like the rest of us ham-n-eggers, then fade into oblivion. Personally, I hope he winds up penniless and living in a cardboard box under an overpass, next to Dennis Rodman, who should be flat broke about the same time Vick blows his last dime.

  67. youngtorice says: Feb 2, 2010 2:27 AM

Vick had a 46% completion rate this year. 53.7% career. His very best passing season was just barely over 2900 yds and he posted an 81.6 rating that year. I’m real hard pressed to take vick over the majority of ampsilly’s list. This is a question of qb. not somebody who can run taking snaps. for pure passing ability I would rather have. matt leinart, Alex smith matt hassleback mark bulger vince young david garrard matt cassel trennt edwards chad henne mark sanchez matthew stafford jay cutler and tony romo. I’m sorry they all have better passing ability. I would also draft bradford, claussen, McCoy, and hell even tebow before signing vick, and everyone thinks tebow wont be a good nfl qb

  68. The Devil says: Feb 2, 2010 3:37 AM

Yeah in todays NFL he is more like a top 5 quarterback. Aaron Rodgers couldn’t best the man he was supposed to replace and is complete garbage next to Vick. Next we will hear about how good Matt Cassel is.
The fact is you square Mike Vick off against any QB in the NFL with equal teams and Mike Vick will always win.
The only QBs in the same league as him are Peyton Manning, Brett Farve, Eli Manning and Tom Brady. Vick could have put the Eagles in the Superbowl.

  69. EagleGreen88 says: Feb 2, 2010 3:57 AM

So can somebody PLEASE explain to me how Mike Vick’s actions off the football field have any bearing on where he ranks among NFL quarterbacks?? Look, I’m an Eagles fan, my brother’s a Falcons fan, and I graduated from Virginia Tech. Needless to say, I’ve seen my fair share of #7 play. Is he a top 10 QB? Hell no. Not right now,at least. It all depends on what your basis of what a top-caliber quarterback is. If your looking for the 4,000 yard passing season, and the 30 passing touchdowns, you won’t get that from him. Never have. Even in his best season,2004,he was something like the 26th ranked qb in the league. What you got, though, was a flatout playmaker who was a threat any time he had the ball in his hands. Don’t know about you guys, but the fact that Vick was the 1st quarterback EVER to go into Lambeau Field as a visiting qb and win a playoff game is pretty damn impressive. Again, I’m not arguing that Mike Vick is a top 10 quarterback. But he is a weapon that could make a lotta teams better just by being on the field. I’m out,Go Eagles

    Let’s see,
Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben, Phil Rivers, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Carson Palmer, Donovan McNabb, Tony Romo, Vince Young, Brett Favre. (I would put Kurt Warner in there, but he’s retired. Plus, I think Brett’s gone).
    How many is that? 12.
So I think Mike Vick’s wrong. He’s in the Top 15 QBs in the NFL right now. So he’s wrong; but given that there are 32 teams in the NFL, there are at least 17 teams with QBs that are worse than Vick. That makes Vick a starter somewhere next year. Watch.

  72. ninerfan says: Feb 2, 2010 5:32 AM

Still out of touch with reality I see. Ron Mexico never was a top 10 QB… ever! POS should be grateful he was allowed back into the NFL. Keep him the “F” off of my team.

  73. Burnum says: Feb 2, 2010 5:52 AM

He has never been a good passer at all. He’s a good running QB, no doubt, but he’s always been inaccurate in his throws. He’s never been a top 10 QB, even in his prime (unless you play Madden), so how can he be a top 10 QB after being out of football for a few years and serving as a 3rd stringer?
Anyway, some team will probably be dumb enough to trade for him, give him a big contract and ruin its mid-term future with a QB who does not throw well…

  74. Bwa Ha Ha says: Feb 2, 2010 6:21 AM

  76. steelerfan9598 says: Feb 2, 2010 6:26 AM

No WR’s in Atlanta? Roddy White would beg to differ. JOEY HARRINGTON & CHRIS REDMAN combined for 3000+ yards with the same group and White had his first 1000 yard season as soon as ‘Top Ten’ went to prison. The dude is a less accurate Kordell Stewart. If in fact, it’s ‘all about winning’, Kordell has won more playoff games too. Just sayin’.

  77. bobinpuertorico says: Feb 2, 2010 6:58 AM

When Vick was at his peak with Atlanta, he might have been a top 10 RB, but he never was a top 10 QB. Of course today he is not as fast nor as accurate a passer as during his peak performance years, so his RB ranking will be lower. If he works hard, the day might come when he will be able to complete 50% of his passes (and be considered a top 100 QB), but there is no guarantee that he will ever get to that level. As a Bills fan, I am well aware that we need a much better QB, but based on his best years as a passer with Atlanta, I would rank Vick behind Ryan Fitzpatrick, Trent Edwards and Brian Brohm.

Ha, ha, ha, ha! Top 10 all-time-bust at QB. Top 10 ego. Top 10 at letting down your franchise, maybe. But pathetic otherwise. Never as good as he could have been, because he never took it seriously enough and always had–and still has–too much of a me-first attitude.
The reason he was only used rarely this season is because he wasn’t good enough. His skills are in decline, he’s too old to continue his previous style of play, and he’s obviously no leader. Who would want to invest in that shoddy resume, when there are plenty of good young QBs in the next draft and several solid backups around the league looking for work?
The ‘idea’ of Vick is no longer enough to fool anyone. The mediocre reality is now obvious to all.

  87. slutnuts says: Feb 2, 2010 8:28 AM

i want him to get a starting job next year. this way all of his supporters can watch him pass for 2900 yds, and 50% completion rate. then we will get to hear the excuses, of how he has no wrs, and no running game, etc…..guess what. top ten qbs overcome that and make the wrs good, and the running game benefits from a good passing game…..if he proves me wrong, i’ll be the first to admit it.

People give them a bad rap just cuz they aren’t pocket passers like peyton manning but he did things no other qb could do. Remember, he didn’t have michael turner and roddy white was hardly an established threat when he had him. You put him on a team wit a decent defense and they’re a playoff contender immediately. I dunno if he’s a top ten quarterback without seeing him start for a season but come on, before he got locked up he had that one bad season but aside from that he was amazing.
You mean the same guys that Matt Ryan has no problem being successful with? Roddy White became a star after Vick left. Peerless Price had his best season prior to playing for Vick (with Bledsoe, a guy most people criticize).
Here are the QB’s better than Vick. (no particular order)
    1. Tom Brady
    2. Ben Roethlisberger
    3. Joe Flacco (has made the playoffs both years and is statistically better)
    4. Carson Palmer (down year but still had more tds, better % and rating then Vick has at any point as a starter)
    5. Peyton Manning
    6. Matt Shaub (heck, he even was better in Atlanta)
    7. David Garrard (why anybody thinks Vick is better is beyond me, Garrad completes over 60%, throws less int’s and has a better rating.)
    8. Phillip Rivers
    9. Donovan McNabb
    10. Kevin Kolb (hey Vick was his backup for a reason)
    11. Eli Manning (some people say he had a down year but he threw 27 td’s, completed over 60% and had a 90+ rating, things Vick has NEVER accomplished)
    12. Tony Romo (I don’t even like Romo but the only thing Vick can do better is not make as many bone headed decisions)
    13. Aaron Rodgers
    14. Jay Cutler (see Romo)
    15. Brett Favre (if he comes back)
    16. Drew Brees
    17. Matt Ryan
    Others I might consider
    18. Matt Moore (98 rating and over 60%, Vick can’t do that. and the Panthers have done well when Moore has played)
    19. Kyle Orton (might be pushing it here, Orton is a better passer and has a good winning % so it’s not so crazy. but Vick is a better playmaker)
    20. Jason Campbell (is a better passer but not much of a winner, if Vick can still be a dynamic playmaker then he is better than Campbell)
    21. Matt Hasselbeck (IF healthy Hasselbeck is much better, but that is becoming a big if)

    ————————————————–
I actually agree with some of this statement. He’s better than Edwards, Cassel, Hasselbeck. Warner is retired, Eli Manning I’d say comparable to. Palmer hasn’t done shit in 3+ years now. Never the same after his ACL.
That leaves Peyton, McNabb, Brady, Ryan, Flacco, Cutler, Rogers, Rivers, Schaub, Romo, and Roflburger. Thats exactly 10. I’d put Vick at 11th.
Cutler and Flacco are debatable too. Flacco has the skills, he just needs consistency from his receivers. So yeah, its definitely possible he COULD be considered top 10. I won’t say I believe he is or isn’t. We didn’t see enough of him to make that determination. Lots of people look good in limited duty, and once the full weight is on them they become inconsistent. (See: AJ Feeley) Other people look awful in limited duty and then come in and with proper preparation light it up. (See: Matt Cassell in 08)

    NORTH – Rodgers, Favre, Cutler
SOUTH – Brees, Matt Ryan…maybe Matt Moore, and that’s a big MAYBE!
WEST – Hasselbeck and Bulger (if healthy)
AFC EAST – Brady, Henne, Pennington
    NORTH – Rothlisberger, Flacco, Palmer
SOUTH – Manning, Schuab, Young, Garrard, Collins
    WEST – Orton, Cassell, Rivers
Point – Vick is NOT a Quarterback…he was an amazing athlete who threw the ball pretty well. If you want someone to stand in the pocket, read the defense and make accurate throws, Vick is NOT the guy you want.
If you want someone the hike the ball, run around a lot, make some spectacular plays and some really bad throws….just to sell tickets, jerseys, and PSL’s, then Vick is your man.
He is a unique athlete, but can not be relied on as a full time starting Quarterback, unless you redesign the offense like Atlanta did for the D.V.D. running attack (Dunn, Vick and Dockett)

“Hey Vox, how about YOU put down the pipe! Vick was the 12 QUARTERBACK on that list”
The joke is on you. Vick is as much of a QB as Tashard Choice is.
“and 88th OVERALL! What a total toolbag you are!! No wonder you like Rom-O-Choke!”
Yeah, because Romo’s so bad hahaha
20-16 in Philly to take their pride
    24-0 to take the division
34-14 to send them home to the dog fights with their tails between their legs.
That Tony Romo guy? 5 TDs in three games and a triple digit passer rating against “interception magnet” Asante Samuel and “shutdown presence” Sheldon Brown.

  126. .VoxVeritas says: Feb 2, 2010 1:04 PM

I just noticed that Vick’s number on that list (88) is higher than the amount of passing yards he’s had in the last three seasons (86). Also, Tony Romo has more TD passes in the last three years (88) than Vick has passing yards (86).
No wonder rickah99 loves Vick so much and hates Tony Romo so much. 11 of those 88 TD passes were against the 0-3gles. In seven games. The Cowboys were 5-2 against the 0-3gles in those seven games, in case anybody’s wondering.

  128. this class sucks says: Feb 2, 2010 1:42 PM

Lets make this easy: there are 12 people Vick is better than.
49ers – Alex Smith. based off last year Alex Smith is better, if we assume Vick can get back to the point where he was before than Vick is better. So one point for VIck.
    Pats- Brady is better
Jets – I would say every team would want Sanchez over Vick.
Dolphins – Chad Pennignton is better, and I would say Henny is too but we will give this one to Vick..
    Bills – Vick is better
    Colts – Pman is better
    Texans – Schuab is better
    Titans – Young is better
    Jags – Gerard is better
    Chargers – Rivers is better
Broncos – This is close but lets give it to Vick
    Raiders – Vick is better
    Chiefs – Cassel is better
    Bengals – Palmer is better
    Ravens – Flacco is better
    Steelers – Ben is better
    Browns – Vick is better
    Cowboys – Romo is better
Eagles – Donvan, Kolb are both better
    Giants – Manning is better
Redskins – close but lets give it to Vick
    Vikings – Favre is better
    Packers – Rogers is better
    Bears – Cutler is better
Lions – very close but once again close goes to Vick
    Saints – Drew is better
Panthers – Delhome and Moore are both close but ties go to Vick
    Falcons – Ryan is better
    Bucs – Vick is better
    Cards – Warner is better
    Seahawks – Vick is better
    Rams – Vick is better
So assuming Vick can get back some where near his old form, and giving him all ties and even close ones he is better than 12 QBs in the NFL. So not in the top 10 or 15 or half the league.

  129. mwcarolina says: Feb 2, 2010 1:54 PM

NFC EAST – Manning, McNabb, Kolb, Romo, Kitna…possibly Campbell (if he had consistent coaching)
    NORTH – Rodgers, Favre, Cutler
SOUTH – Brees, Matt Ryan…maybe Matt Moore, and that’s a big MAYBE!
WEST – Hasselbeck and Bulger (if healthy)
AFC EAST – Brady, Henne, Pennington
    NORTH – Rothlisberger, Flacco, Palmer
SOUTH – Manning, Schuab, Young, Garrard, Collins
    WEST – Orton, Cassell, Rivers
ok, can’t agree with Kitna or Campbell (coaching isn’t the problem it is him), i agree with the maybe Matt Moore, he looks like a young Tony Romo.

    Mike Vick is no exception…
He is entitled to make a living in this world just like everyone else… If all of you don’t see the US penial system as fair justice for his crimes and you think he should go on welfare, medicaid, live off of our taxes and do nothing for the rest of his life, then by all means, let him live like every other slob in the free world that gets a free pass…

sanchez, ryan, flacco stafford, and freemen are all better than this guy, EASILY. same with cambell, hasslebeck, smith, leinhart, henne, delhomme, and garrard.
Could see the guy in st. louis, basically just to take shots while their 2nd round pick gets aclimated to the NFL plus he would be asses in the seats, which they need
Buffalo, in a similar situation, but also as a cribbs type of player
oakland would be a fit because he honestly is better than jabustus, but maybe not better than gradikowski
or with a couple of other teams largely because the guy is versitle. his days of being a starting, marquee, QB are over. he can still play the game and make some money, but not like he used to.

Vick is a GREAT athlete, but a poor passer, in fact someone asked who PFT would rather have with Tebow and Vick, personally i take Tebow and i don’t base it on Vick’s dog fighting, it is based on skills and Vick throws like Tebow, the problem is because of his height, some passes get knocked down, the best small quarterback is Drew Brees.

    Hey Vox,
Please tell me the playoff win/loss record for Rom-O-Choke, McNabb, and Mark Sanchez.
Don’t bother with McNabb’s NFL RECORD TD/INT ratio…we don’t need to get into that!
    Here I’ll help out:
    Romo-O-Choke
    2003 no starts -No playoffs
    2004 no starts -No playoffs
    2005 no starts -No playoffs
2006 (A Star is Born) 10 starts, LOSS Seattle
    2007 16 starts, LOSS Giants
    2008 16 starts -No playoffs
2009 16 starts, WIN Eagles, LOSS Minnesota
    SO that’s….let me check….1-3, in 7yrs(4 starting)(.333)
    Now McNabb
    1999 6 starts -No Playoffs
2000 16 starts, WIN Tampa Bay, LOSS Giants
2001 16 starts, WIN Tampa Bay, WIN Chicago, LOSS St. Louis
2002 10 starts, WIN Atlanta, LOSS Tampa Bay
2003 16 starts, WIN Green Bay, LOSS Carolina
2004 15 starts, WIN Minnestoa, WIN Atlanta, LOSS New England
    2005 9 starts -No Playoffs
    2006 10 starts -No Playoffs(Team 1-1)
    2007 14 starts -No Playoffs
2008 16 starts, WIN Minnesota, WIN Giants, LOSS Arizona
    2009 14 starts, LOSS Dallas
So that’s 9-6(.666), 5-3 in the 1st four years starting, just to level the field.
    Mark Sanchez
2009 15 starts, WIN Cincinnati, WIN San Diego, LOSS Indy
    That would be 2-1(.500)
I just threw Sanchez in there to show you Playoff wins can happen right away(just not with Rom-O-Choke or with Dallas)
Now explain to me how Rom-O-Choke is better than McNabb in the post season?

  159. The incredible Mr. C says: Feb 3, 2010 2:04 PM

For those in the, “was, and still is a top ten QB,” camp…
Vick was drafted 1st overall in 2001.
LaDainian Tomlinson was drafted 5th overall in 2001.
Look at what has happened to Tomlinson in the last couple of years. He has lost more than a step, and PFT even metioned that he could be in the same boat as Shaun Alexander soon.
What does this have to do with Vick?
Two players, the same age, who were admittedly at least among the top 4 or 5 most exciting players in 2006, have aged four years since then. Tomlinson practiced and played and Vick did whatever he did on a daily basis. Vick’s skills couldn’t be the same.
Just admit, even if Vick was as awesome as some of you seem to think he was (I never thought he was a quarterback, no accuracy and no sense), it’s impossible to say he’s even close to the top ten based on the sample size we saw in Philly this year.
Whichever team really wants to walk a fine line between a PR mess and throwing dollars and developmental time for another QB down the drain should go for Vick…
Al Davis, I’m looking in your direction.

very good point and very well said
I said the same thing about the Donte Stallworth situation, 30 days for driving drunk and killing a pedestrian. Seriously? 30 days for killing a human, 2 years for killing dogs, thats the problem with society, well at least one problem, we seem to value animals more so than a human life in the court of law. You can replace a dog, you cant replace a human! No one is condoning what Vick did just sayin..
(Also the Ray Lewis situation a couple years back, where his body guards murdered two young men in Atlanta, no one was screaming for his head, people simply want to cont.. bashing Vick b/c hes an easy target and was extremely famous, he was the face of the NFL)
And for all of you who thinks hes garbage, hmm if he was garbage and a horrible football player people would have been forgotten about this story and it wouldnt have been a big deal. The reason it was a big deal is b/c Vick WAS one of the most exciting and BEST players in the NFL you morons! If he wasnt this story woulda have passed over as soon as it happened and no one would have cared. B/c no one cares when an irrelevant athlete gets in trouble.

Being in the animal rescue line of work – I see thousands of abused and mistreated animals at the hands of people like you and Mike the dog killer who believe animals are just some object to be used as you see fit. Animals have way more loyalty, devotion, love, and caring than pretty much any human being on this planet. The only thing they require is our protection – and when you do the things that Mike the dog killer did to these defenseless animals – he is lower than the most vile scumbag in the universe. Vick has some crowd pleasing skills and is fun to watch. But he never was a top 10 QB because none of the offenses he ran ever scored more points than an average offense in the NFL.
For every sensational 15 yard run Vick makes that no other QB in the league could have dreamed of, he misses one or two simple 15 yard passes that just about every QB in the league except him could make.
That is why Vick isn’t and never was top 10. He is the best athelete at the position, even still, but when you don’t ever operate a top 15 offense in terms of scoring points how can you really be considered that good.
He made the big bucks because of a good playoff run and the excitement factor.

Vick do not care if you thinks he’s a top 10 QB. He anwsered an question and that how he feels. All the name calling and hateful things about the dogs is old news. Vick at least paid for his crimes and problems. Most of you just can not get over the fact you have no control over his career and/or the money he may make. I’m not a pet person and never will be. All I care about now is that he makes up for what he did to those dog by trying to save more of them then he hurt. So name as many QB you feel that are better, call the man names, or whatever your sorry butt feels, because it tells more about you then Vick. All I know is that only one QB will win this year.
