Fujita wasn’t good enough to start for the Cowboys, only reason he got any extensive playing time is because Al Singleton got hurt two months into the 2005 season. Fujita is 6’5″ and 250 pounds. Big guy. Bill Parcells loves big players, it’s common knowledge. The guy couldn’t beat out 6’2″ Al Singleton for an outside backer job in a Parcells 3-4 D. Scott Fujita didn’t abandon the Cowboys. They let his contract expire and didn’t offer him another one. Let’s be real honest. The Cowboys drafted Demarcus Ware and Kevin Burnett before the 2005 season. Greg Ellis was in the middle of a successful transition from 4-3 DE to 3-4 OLB. The Cowboys had a glut of OLB’s and Singleton and Fujita were the odd men out. They actually had a shortage of inside backers with the retirement of Dat Nguyen, so enter Akin Ayodele and Barbie Carpenter, who was advertised as being able to play inside or out.

The guy you cite in your URL was not convicted of murder. He was convicted of cospiracy to commit carjacking and carjacking with death resulting. What’s the difference? Everybody involved but this guy Raymond Anderson got life in prison without parole. Anderson got 30 years with the possibility of parole. Why the difference? I dunno, it’s not up to me to interpret stupid yankee laws. They’d all be on death row if it had happened in Texas, probably executed by now.
