Jets QB Sanchez opts for knee surgery

After receiving second and third opinions on the left knee he injured in college, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has elected to undergo surgery.

The procedure is believed to be arthroscopic in nature and will be performed in two to three weeks.  The rehab period is two months.  Sanchez will miss at least part of minicamp/OTA season, but should be 100 percent by training camp in late July.
“The big picture here is he’s going to be fine,” Jets G.M. Mike Tannenbaum assured.  ”His knees are going to be great and he’ll be ready to go well before training camp.”
Sanchez originally injured the knee in August of 2008.  He played in a brace as a rookie, but aggravated the injury in November.  Sanchez also suffered a mild sprain of his right PCL in early December.  No surgery is needed on that joint.
Sanchez finished his up-and-down rookie year with 12 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, and a 53.8 completion rate.  He was at his best during the Jets’ three-game playoff run, throwing four touchdowns compared to two interceptions and completing 60.3 percent of his passes.

I think the Jets are on the verge. Having Sanchez 100% healthy is a great first step!
The next thing is the Jets need to schedule Braylon Edwards for hand surgery to eliminate all those drops!

working fine next season.Rex has started his rehab and soon Mark will too.

uhm…Evan? You do know that PCL stands for Posterior Cruciate LIGAMENT, right? A joint is either an illegal cigarette or or a confluence of BONES.
Or a 1940′s era dance hall.
    I’m just sayin’.

This i like putting struts on a 2001 Dawoo Lanos…..isn’t worth the investment, won’t improve anything, and will most likely result in a worthless pile of junk in 2 year
