packer fan here….congrats to percy, he is easily the most talented player on the vikes offense, i’m much more worried about him getting the ball than I am of peterson. He was as deserving of the award.
To those that are bad-mouthing Matthews-the guy only started half of the season and still got 10 sacks, that’s pretty damn good.

So, Occam likes whores and phildo is an idiot. If Maclin is so damn good, why wasn’t he in the mix the award? How many player of the week (rookie) honors did Maclin get?
Sure Favre makes everybody better, and gets some of them pay raises to boot. We rubes out here in the ether are the dumb ones. You will never hear anybody around Favre complain that he got them a raise. Look around yourselves at work. Notice any new people that you KNOW are going to threaten to take your job in the future or are likely to get promoted over you? Notice anybody that’s been around forever and always, ALWAYS gets projects done ahead of schedule? Always leads his/her teams to success? The boss loves them, doesn’t he/she? Gives them public accolades and eats lunch with them. I’ll bet you dopes hate that person, too. Why don’t you stand out at work?
Percy Harvin stands out at work every practice, every time, despite his ailments and incessant publicity. Great job, kid.

It was not even a close decision…And to the idiots that say, it was a favre that made him great……he is an elite player, and made even more elite because of favre, that is why they brought in the gunslinger…..It is sad to see all the haters out ther…cause lets face it…when its a freezing cold sunday…your favorite team is on a bye week, and you want to watch some good old football…Isnt watching the gunslinger always a good time???? It makes no sense to hate on him…He may be self centered but at least he isnt shooting himeslf in the leg. or running people over wasted…….oh well……SKOL Congrats percy…..well done

Congrats to Harvin, very well deserved. I was one of the biggest critics when he was picked, but I was certainly proven wrong. I hope for his sake he can find a legal way to get the migraines under control. If he can, his potential is nearly limitless.
I’m shocked Matthews was nominated when he didn’t even start the whole season, but congrats to him as well.

The announced reason was “travel complications,” which could mean that he simply didn’t want to travel to Miami.
Florio LOVES to speculate on this kind of stuff, usually picking the possibility that makes the subject of the story look the worst.
It could also mean about 1 billion other things. One possibility is that he was abducted by the elusive Bigfoot on the way to the airport and is currently stashed away in a cave somewhere in Utah, being forced by Bigfoot to watch reruns of PFT Daily.
That COULD have been his travel complication. You never know.

Harvin seems like a good kid, and he looks very good. It is as appropriate for him to win as anybody, I guess. But the fan voting throws off all convention. Any team that has had an exciting year (like the Vikings) will cause the (usually not rabid) fanbase to go gaga and overwhelm the ballot boxes, because they are so “special”, right? If Favre had played as he had for the previous five seasons, (instead of out-of-his-ass,) the Vikings would have been a pedestrian team. Harvin got the attention that he did from the band-wagon jumping ballot stuffers. But that is how this contest is played…..so…congratulations.

I only wish the ones making fun of someone’s migranes would have to suffer through one you would shut your big mouths forever!!!!!!!
Also I have seen really bad fans at a lot of football games not just the Vikings as a matter of fact PA and TN are two of the worse, when fans have to be ejected from a game for picking on a little girl because she worn her Vikes jersey at the PA game a couple of years ago that’s bad, and when you have drunks sitting behind you at a TN game kicking the back of your chairs and calling you names and threating to kick your a@#@#@ if you don’t take off your jersey, thats bad, so quit giving the MN fans a bad rap there are bad fans for all the teams not just one.
