We’ve heard about Oklahoma State wideout Dez Bryant for a while now. And with the NFL Scouting Combine coming up, we’re going to hear a lot more.
Bryant says he’s going to live up to the hype. “I’m very similar to Larry Fitzgerald in some ways, as far as catching the ball, tracking the ball, making uncatchable catches catchable,” Bryant said Friday.
The kid certainly passes the eye test. He looks like the prototype number one receiver.
The PFT video crew of Matt Casey and Rob Hahn, who have done awesome work all week, caught up with Bryant Friday.
I make unwritable writings writable. I really do.
ok…on another note, i think this is first objective article written on PFT
shocking not one negative comment from Florios minions
perfect for the ravens
I love this guy.
Is his name Really Dez?
Don’t tell Al Davis about making “uncatchable catches catchable.” He might pull a Ditka move and trade his entire draft – and true to al davis style – to a playoff contender in his own conference. Anyway, isn’t this a deep draft? And a fan poll (yeah what do we know) consensus said that WR was the riskiest position to draft in the 1st round.
I could only see a few teams needing a number 1 worthy of a 1st – baltimore and chicago – but chicago doesn’t have a 1st. Maybe Cincinnati picks up a guy to take heat off of chad… Sure he could go somewhere else not listed, but would be a waste due to the players he would play with.
In Miami, Ginn makes catchable catches uncatchable.
stickum. it worked wonders for lester hayes. it can help dez too.
He make unwatchable video clips unintelligible.
lol @ Ron in Charlotte
on a serious note: this draft is sneaky deep with big bodied Wrs, but i must Dez gets vertical in that special way
He doesnt seem all that bright…..talks like Adam Sandler in the Waterboy
Good luck getting him to learn all the plays, hes an athletic retard.
I hope the Ravens trade up and get Flacco a weapon.
hahahahahaha @nfcbeast
But coach Cline said…..mama…mama….but coach Cline said lol. This guy is so full of himself comparing himself to Fitz. If this guy becomes a star WR in the NFL he will start calling himself Moses UNO. Ruined his college career by getting involved with Deion and Eugene Parker. Then he signs with Parker and insults everyones intelligence saying he had no pryor contact with Parker. He will either be a bust or the next BIG DRAMA QUEEN.
Dez Bryant: coming soon to destroy a locker room near you.
man this guy has potential but i hope he knows how to use it unlike some of the WRs in the NFL. Seems like a young Moss, a bit of a diva but a great deep threat.
What is the over/under on the number of times this tool said “um”
U can’t compare your self to Fitz if you get kicked off the team for illegal dealings wityh an agent.
Somebody want to explain to me why the NCAA is not looking deeper into this?
Ron in charlotte Briulliant.
NFC Beast be careful or you will have to apologize to the retards of the world. The last thing you want is a bunch of retards with pitch forks chasing you down the street.
On second thought that would be funny to watch, not as funny as midgets chasing you but still funny.
He’ll be a good player on the field but a pain in the ass off the field. That’s what seperates him from Fitzgerald, who is a good guy all around.
I’d rather compare Dez Bryant to T.O. or Chad Johnson/Ochocinco. Very similar prospect to Michael Crabtree last year. Nobody doubts he can play, but he has “Diva” written all over him, even before signing his first contract.
lol @ athletic retard
Dez Nuts….sorry.
Compares himself to the “Fitz.” Dude, the NFL is going to be a BIG wake up call.
Hey Dez, Crabtree’s got some tips on getting a contract and winning over your new teammates.
Si-lent night …i said i said a si-i-lent night…i said i said
First things first, I didn’t follow college football the past two years as much as I had in the past. (Mostly due to being a Buckeye fan, and the combination of moving out of OHIO in 06′ and the crushing loses to Florida and LSU in back to back NCAA championship games)…. However, I typically follow college football, and I make an effort to track players progress and attitude, mostly because I’m so into the NFL and MY Cincinnati Bengals that I feel like a scout.
But enough bullsh!t, let me make my point…. To all the people bashing Dez Bryant, and saying bogus things like “he’s going to be the next locker room cancer” could you please rewind the track to the 2008 draft.
DeSean Jackson (from Cal) was rated as the number one WR prospect from the start of the season through the combine. The only reason he slipped to the top of the 2nd round is because half wit media people tagged him as a “Cancer” and a “Ego maniac”
As a Bengals fan I knew we would be drafting a WR to replace TJ, and if not him then Henry the following year.. and eventually Chad after his contract runs out next year. Also, we had been lacking a kick/punt returner for YEARS… the best thing we could come up with was K.Ratliff… and we only put him back there because he never fumbled, he also never got us positive yardage.
So, you can understand my surprise when at the top of the 2nd round and the commish steps up to the podium to announce our 2nd round pick and I hear Jerome Simpson…. might as well have been Homer Simpson.
I don’t think I’ve yelled at my TV louder since we traded down a million times only to draft Chris Perry over Steven Jackson.
So…. finally my point is, we have an aging and below average receiving core, if Dez Bryant is available when we pick in the first round then I think it’s a no brainer that we take him. The only other argument that could be made for a WR is Golden Tate, and I wouldn’t have a problem with the Bengals drafting him… but if Dez is gone and Tate is the best option, I’d rather see us draft the TE from Oaklahoma (if available) and get a WR or two through FA or later picks in the draft.
Finally…. I disagree with whoever said this draft is deep with WR talent. I believe the opposite. I have a link with all the receivers height, weight, and 40 time… and there are very few with a 40 under 4.5
If Dez is there, he’s the way to go…. or the TE… but don’t diss Dez before he gets a chance to show whats he’s all about
hey “red” Crabtree also has some tips on actually performing as a 1st round WR pick…. regardless of when he finally showed up…. and hey “red” Michael also has some tips for you on how to make yourself some change…. try following around Dez and chasing interviews.. I’m sure a few nobody media twerps got paid last year while asking Crabtree the same questions we ask the draft prospects every year, maybe you can jump on that bandwagon.
