If the Colts do win, it just proves that Dungy is a bigger farce. Caldwell would win in his first year. Dungy was along for the ride. The Colts can coach themselves. Dungy is overrated and he doesn’t want Caldwell (like he does anything anyway – I have YET to see him talk to ANYONE on the sidelines) to match him (SB wins) in only one year. Dungy is a joke.

The Colts are pretty much Dungy’s team. With the exception of a few players, Dungy pretty much built this team and watched it grow under his tutelage. So of course he is going to be fully in the corner of the Colts.
And for those who are telling him to keep quiet, he’s not a coach anymore, he’s a commentator now who gets paid to speak his mind about football games. If he kept quiet he’d lose his job.
Of course like most people he’s going to get a few things wrong he’s not Nostradamus. And if you recall when Dungy made his comment about the Cowboys, they were in the gutter and no one on earth thought they stood a chance against the Saints. Jerry Jones himself was surprised they won that game.
Dungy’s comments will always be over analyzed due to who he is. But in the end he’s just given his opinion like any other guy who works for Football Night in America.

Yes, but he was right about the Cowboys. And, unless a complete meltdown or a an injury occurs, the Colts will easily handle the Saints in the second half. Expect a low scoring contest until the teams loosen up and relax by end of the first half. By the third quarter, Manning will unleash fury and he and Garcon will hook up all evening. Look for either Manning or Garcon to be the SB MVP. Garcon will be well over 100 yards receiving and in general , will be a yawn of a SB as the Colts wear down the Saints, and Brees never finds his groove. The commercials will likely be the most interesting of the entire affair. Again.

Who cares what this lisping idiot says anyway? Does anyone really think he was responsible for any of the Colts’ success? He’s on television and radio entirely too much, and I frankly don’t understand why. Stick to visiting prisons and telling everyone else how to live their lives. From what I remember, his family life is less than stellar, yet he’s always pontificating about one thing or another regarding fatherhood, family and such. STFU, Lispy.

Tony Dungy has got to be the most overrated coach in football history. He flew in on the coattails of Peyton Manning, it’s no wonder he can’t fathom an Indianapolis loss. Anyone who thinks that Tony Dungy ran the Colts and lead them to a Superbowl is an idiot. Peyton Manning ran the offense and was the spirit of that team. Maybe Dungy wants the credit for their mediocre defense, but I doubt it. Maybe he wants credit for managing the team; oh wait, that credit is deserved by Bill Polian.
Dungy has done nothing but benefitted by being near great football minds. He does not deserve very much credit for the Colts success (hence, the coaching change and still the success). What he says is meaningless and I’d love to see the Saints win because I think the town deserves it. I’m a fan of Manning, but Brees is more interesting this year.

All you people questioning Tony Dungy’s coaching skills need a history lesson. His coaching legacy is intact and he is, without question, a first ballot Hall Of Famer.
To make a winner out of the Bucs franchise would be enough, IMO. That franchise was the worst in pro sports history until he took over.

I’m not saying the biggest NFL game of the year will turn on the words of a single individual, but I’m willing to bet that most Colts fans are hoping that game kicks off before Dungy opens his mouth again.
Think it. Feel it. But don’t say it. At least not until it happens and there are no seconds left on the clock.
Meanwhile, the Saints camp is strangely quiet.

TONY DUNGY lost credibility when he became MICHEAL VICKs mentor, to coming back in the NFL, then he popped off about the Cowboys having NO CHANCE to beat the Saints, which Tony Romo talked about after they won that game, it will say a lot about him, IF the Colts win, the season after he left in Tampa & Indianapolis, those teams then WON the Super Bowl, …can you say OVERRATED???

The only person that gives a damn about what Tony Dungy has to say is Mike Florio and the only reason he cares is because Dungy is on NBC which owns PFT. No one watches “Football night in America” so this is Florio trying to get people to give a damn about that show. Dungy is a clown, most over rated coach of ALL time, worse than Barry Switzer. People need to stop putting a microphone in his face. I wonder what Brian Billick thinks about the Superbowl or anyone of the other coaches that have won ONE superbowl!!!!????
