I understand these players are not Larry Fitzgerald-type players but it is better than nothing, which is basically where the Browns are right now. They got Massaquoi and Harrison but outside of that, who else do you see stepping up and in the words of Santonio Holmes, "being great" next season.
I feel for the fans of Cleveland because nobody wants likes to be losers. The Browns did get good wins against Jacksonville Pittsburgh, but that is just a single cinderblock in the foundation of a good franchise.

@ Tomlinson 2101:
i know you aren't a Browns fan by your comments so let me tell you what's going on.
Wislow was a good player but he got hurt a bunch and was a major pain in the ass off the field. Edwards was a whinny bastard who dropped a ton of passes. if you noticed that neither of them did anything for the teams they went to.
Stallworth was always hurt (i think from the 1st game even) when he played in cleveland and was due much more money then he was worth (thanks savage!).
Jamal Lewis is retiring so not sure why your saying it as if we are getting rid of him.
Cribbs is going to get paid and he will stay in cleveland, he has even said it himself.

I'm a browns fan and I wouldnt mind seeing him get resigned for very little money.
Lost, the Browns do desperately need a WR but, what you are failing to look at is this guy was going to get BIG money if they kept him on the roster. I wouldnt be suprised if the browns grabbed him for dirt cheap now. He wasnt worth the moeny when we signed him and now that he was injured most of the season he was on the team and then didnt play all of last year he isn't even close to worth that much. They would have been dumb to keep him.
GoBrowns, he was in prison for 24 days I believe. He was suspended for a year. He also was a good receiver when he wasn't hurt. His problem is though that he was hurt more than he wasnt.

If you're keeping score this would be Holmgren's 2nd major mistake
------------------------------------------
You are absolutely correct. To get over the hump we NEED a WR that is always hurt and isn't that good to begin with. The fact that he's been in prison for a year only make him better.

I despise the Browns but you gotta be kidding me? I hate Stallworth but isn't the point of a NFL Franchise to win? You can not win if you trade and release your good players
Letting Winslow and Edwards go was big mistakes. I can understand what the Brown's were thinking with Stallworth but I can see him being a halfway decent reciever with a good QB. Now here was the Brown's dilemna...Stallworth could be a halfway decent reciever playing with their untalented offense or he could be a halfway decent reciever playing against them.
Before the I am critisized on here let me state this, I really don't care. I agree he is more of a liability than potential. What I can not understand (and will never, NEVER understand) is why the Browns will not pay Josh "Pay the Man" Cribbs?!?! Without Edwards, Winslow, Lewis and now Stallworth, Cribbs is one of the few remaining the Catalyst to that offense. He has earned the right for Deion to sing his praises day-in and day-out and he deserves to be paid. He was offered 4 million less than Devin Hester and Hester did next to nothing in 2009.

@Slow Joe
I guess 195 catches 2800 yds and 23 TD's in 4 seasons isn't "playing" according to your standards. Keep in mind this is when the Saints were still the "Aints" and he had no QB. So maybe do a little research before you hate just to hate. Or is that why you are Slow Joe in the first place.

He didn't play for Cleveland either, he was on the roster and collected a paycheck, but only appeared in a handful games due to injuries, with hardly any catches. Great signing after letting Joe Jurevicious go. Hey Phil (S)Average is now consulting for the Eagles, maybe he can fly back there and hook up with the other killa.
Word has it Braylon DROPPED him a line.

I think New England would be interested b/c right now all they have at WR is a hobbled Wes Walker and an aging dogging-it-prone Randy Moss.... and this would give Bob Kraft a much needed argument to use Obama's stimulus funding for a pedestrian foot-bridge over Route 1 (Mass had given him the $$ but pulled it back when it went public.) The foot-bridge would of course reduce the risk of Donte running down pedestrians. Sorry, couldn't resist.
