Kendra distraught over hubby Hank's blunder

Former Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson fell to actress Kim Kardashian in the battle of celebrity wives/girlfriends during Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Wilkinson, according to post-game pictures taken by TMZ.com, didn’t handle her team’s loss well.
Wilkinson is the wife of Colts receiver Hank Baskett. Kardashian is Saints running back Reggie Bush’s girlfriend.
Baskett made one of the game’s bigger blunders when he allowed Saints punter Thomas Morstead’s surprise third-quarter onside kick to go through his hands, hit off his helmet, and ultimately land in the clutch of Saints safety Chris Reis.
New Orleans scored a go-ahead touchdown on the ensuing drive.
Many Colts fans have called for Baskett’s release in the PFT comments section.
Baskett, an impending restricted free agent, probably won’t be back.  But perhaps Kendra’s despondent reaction temporarily does something to heal Indianapolis’ pain.

Colts fans are having a hard time admitting that Peyton coughed up one of the costliest interceptions in NFL history, so they are finding others to blame, like Baskett and Garcon.

  3. mmdd1111 says: Feb 8, 2010 2:37 PM

Oh please! That one mistake didn’t win or lose the SB for the Colts. That play wouldn’t have mattered if Peyton didn’t throw the interception or if Garcon didn’t drop a big pass., right??? You can’t blame one play on the loss. The people calling for Baskett’s head……get a grip.

Are they asking for Manning’s release for throwing the pick-six interception as well? How about Manning’s inability to get the ball into the end zone in four tries in their last possession of the game?
    Hmmm….why do I think not?

  13. nps6724 says: Feb 8, 2010 2:44 PM

Blaming Baskett is retarded. There’s a reason 60% of surprise onside kicks are recovered by the kicking team. Garcon, Wayne, and Manning all missed on chances to win the game, not to mention the multiple missed tackles on Pierre Thomas’ screen TD. The biggest blunder of the game was on Manning.

I have one question, why are Colt’s fans blaming Baskett and not Peyton? He threw a pick-six with three minutes to go in the SUPERBOWL, people. If Favre had done that, he’d be getting crucified today, but since it was the “perfect” Peyton Manning, no one is blaming him for the loss. On the NFLN post-game show, Deion uttered the word choke, and you could feel everyone on the set collectively suck wind. It was like he said the Pope farted or something. I’m so sick of hearing about how wonderful Manning is, and then shifting blame when he screws up.

  28. zdbdog06 says: Feb 8, 2010 3:00 PM

  36. twindaddy says: Feb 8, 2010 3:18 PM

Well Colts fans are idiots, then. If they would watch the replay, they would see Baskett get hit by a Saints player right before the ball got to him, preventing him from making the catch.

  40. MaybeNextYear says: Feb 8, 2010 3:32 PM

There is some sort of weird irony here that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Baskett was originally a Viking (in training camp at least — can’t remember if he technically ever made the team). He was, I believe, traded to the Eagles either before or right near the beginning of his first season. Some Vikings fans had labeled him a future star based on training camp and pre-season game performances and were upset that Childress had been duped by former boss Andy Reid.
The Eagles, I’m pretty sure, then cut him after one season.
Evidently, however, once a Viking always a Viking and Baskett displayed his career-threatening Viking-ness loud and clear on the botched kickoff recovery last night.

  41. antozzy says: Feb 8, 2010 3:36 PM

I firmly believe you can blame Hank Baskett for the huge momentum shift that lead to the Saint winning the Super Bowl. If he recovers the onside kick, the Colts were getting 3 or 7 on that drive which ultimately would have changed the Colts momentum and outlook of the game.

  42. Citizen Strange says: Feb 8, 2010 3:39 PM

It is kind of weird that she cashed in her 15 minutes of fame chip for Hank Baskett.
Was he seriously the biggest fish she could land? No other takers?
Was the problem that she could just never quite get the Hef old man smell completely off her?

  43. Prthegreat says: Feb 8, 2010 3:42 PM

  45. MaybeNextYear says: Feb 8, 2010 3:50 PM

Agree with red13@ 2:59 that by comparison to the thrashing Favre took for his late game INT in the NFC Championship game, the silence re Manning’s equally ill-considered pik6 throw is absolutely deafening. And it can’t be because Favre has done it more often — Manning has done it plenty. And in plenty of big games. Recently.
And I’m not even sure that Manning is any less inherently hateable than Favre. So I really don’t get it.

How is that people assume the Colts would score when they couldn’t even catch the ball on the
onside kick, you need the ball to score, I think.
    or another good one…………..
Peyton/ Colts would score a TD to tie the game and then get the ball back and score another touchdown to win the game……… problem is Peyton completed a pass to Porter who ran it in for a 2 touch down lead.Amazing how we can assume that the Saints would let all this happen, luckily, it didn’t.
    BuH ByE, GAME OVER ……………

Something’s been bugging me and I haven’t found anywhere to post it- I’ll use this post since it mentions Kim Kardashian.
I heard on many TV shows that Vegas posted a line on how many times CBS would show KK during the game. Don’t they realize that this is controlled by one person- the producer in the truck for CBS? That guy (or woman) had the ability to bet (or tell others to bet) on something he/she had complete control over.
How could Vegas post a line on something that would be decided by someone who had knowledge of that line in advance?

  70. Route36West says: Feb 9, 2010 12:19 AM

The Colts have fans? I couldnt tell I didnt see any at the superbowl.
Hank Baskett is a good player. Yes he should have made the catch but its the coaches job to have their players ready. No one on that front line was ready for an onsides kick. They were suprised and Hank tried to make a play unlike the rest of his teammates next to him. No one esle was even within 10 yards of the ball.
I agree tho I hope the Colts cut him. That way the Eagles can resign him and he can continue making big plays for Philly.
The only reason they cut him is b/c they had to many other talented receivers and others with big contracts. Someone had to go so they could sign Vick and get a draft pick for him this year.
They didnt cut him before lack of wanting him or talent.
    The Eagles had:
    Desean Jackson
    Jeremey Maclin
    Jason Avant
    Kevin Curtis
    Reggie Brown
    Brandon Gibson
    Hank Baskett
Desean Jackson is a legimate star and Maclin is a future star. Jason Avant is one of the most underrated and best slot recievers in the league. Kevin Curtis had a 1000 yard season the year before and use to be the teams #1 receiver. Reggie Brown had an injury plagued season in 2008 but was once considered a top 50 player of the future by SI and the Eagles thought he might still get back their in the beggining of the season. Brandon Gibson was young and was the best reciever in training camp and pre-season and was later used in a trade. Gibson is going to be a stud in this league count on it.
Baskett was just the odd man out. The Eagles only have Jackson, Maclin, Avant, Curtis, and Brown at this moment and Brown could easily be gone so its a good possibility that the Eagles would bring Baskett back.
