He was really a glorified WR. As HGH’d up as he was, he never blocked anyone. Hines Ward could line up at TE and block more effectively than Sharpe. He looked like tarzan and blocked like Jane. If he entered the league now he would be a 3rd receiver.

whoever said this is a jackass. he didnt abruptly retire, he had been thinking about it for a while. he retired because he was offered a studio gig that probably wouldnt have been there the next year. and the fact that he was on the ropes about retirement as it was the TV deal is what made him lean towards retirement. not because he was on drugs or steriods.
