First-team All Pro Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff underwent surgery on both of his elbows Wednesday to remove bone spurs.
As painful as that sounds, Ratliff is expected to be ready for the team’s offseason conditioning program. (Only a month away, woo!)
Ratliff, a seventh-round pick in 2005, backed up his first Pro Bowl appearance with an even better year in 2009. He’s one of the best bargains in the NFL, set to earn “only” $2.105 million next year.
The Dallas Morning News reports that DeMarcus Ware has yet to undergo surgery to remove a bone spur in his foot.

Yeah, it cuts like a knife….and it feels alright…
Rat and Ware playing tough and strong while injured…these guys will be all pro super bowl champs one day.
I almost spit out my coffee in disgust when reading this headline. Fortunately I realized it was not about Brett Ratliff and was just some stiff on the Cowboys. Don’t want our franchise QB getting dinged up.

Uh, oh…a Cowboy without spurs is just a cow boy.
