With the 2009 season finally over, it’s not to early to start thinking about . . . the 2010 offseason workouts.
Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis reportedly will be ready for the bulk of his team’s offseason workouts, despite undergoing surgery to repair a broken left hand.
Ellis suffered the injury against the Chargers in the divisional round. He wore a cast in the AFC title game.
He’ll heal in six weeks — just in time for the launch of the strength and conditioning program.
