Vikings V.P. of player personnel Rick Spielman spoke Saturday at the only NFL event which includes snowmobiles. It didn’t long for Spielman to be asked about the man known for his love of tractors.
“We’ll let [Brett Favre] decide what he wants to do. We’d love to have him back for another year so we can make another run at this,” Spielman told Judd Zulgdad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
That quote doesn’t reveal much, but it’s not bad for mid-February. If we were prone to reading too much into things, it sounds like Spielman shares Ray Edwards’ feelings that he’s cool with Favre missing offseason work as long as he’s there for Week One.
That worked out pretty well last year.
