You know your shit, that could definitely work. I personally think the chiefs should get in J-Pep. Cunningham is right; the Chiefs have a lot of hidden potential, and a real difference maker could bring that out.

Hmmmmmm……. During the great 2008 draft the Falcons in round one was a coin flip between QB Matt Ryan and DT Glenn Dorsey. Next year Atlanta’s best D-lineman, Jonathan Babineaux, may miss a lot of time next season for undisclosed reasons and 2009 1st rounder Peria Jerry played in only 2 games in September. Florio’s best bud Mike Smith and G.M. Dimitroff can unload 2007 1st rounder Jamaal Anderson who at 280 lbs. could fit as a DE in a 3-4, he’s not a pass rusher in a 4-3. Dare to dream…….

I hope the FO can figure out a good trade for Dorsey. He is not a 3-4 player. But if the Lions could get him and put him in the 4-3 with Jackson and S.L Hill I think that would be sufficient and they could focus on getting Berry, Kyle Wilson or Mike Lupati (hopefully they slips to the 2nd), and a RB or WR like McCluster and/or Shipley in the 3rd & 4th rounds. DT is a huge need but Dorsey would fill a huge hole because quality depth is what kills the Lions the most at DT. There are just so many other holes on offense and defense that not having to use a 1st or 2nd round pick on a DT would go a long way towards fixing other areas of the team.
The other KC players the Lions pick up will be depth/practice squad players. Unless they come in and play like Will Witherspoon did for the Eagles last year. He was nothing more than a camp body and a scout team player until he got a chance to play. A “diamond in the rough” would be nice but it’s unlikely.

Cunningham’s Denfeses were bottom of the league in KC. Now he wants to “improve” his poor defense with those players that he coached before. The question becomes why was the defense so bad when he was in KC? Was it the players or the coach? I’d say a little of both. Gun hasn’t had a stellar defense since the had D.T., Neil Smith and Dan Saleamua rushing the passer.

Make a trade for Glen Dorsey who has been a certified bust even early in his NFL career or roll the dice on either Suh or McCoy, who seem like true difference makers in the NFL?
This move screams Detroit Lions.

There are probably a few 4-3 guys that could help Detroit; or at least some raw talent to develop and see what they have got.
Just because a team sucks, doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few gems stuck in the mud.
