I for one wouldn’t want for the niners.. we allready saw Antonio Bryant and Darrell Jackson. Isaac Bruce did a fine job at his age…but hid of ushering in Morgan and Crabtree is done. We don’t need a new short term veteran to take snaps away from those guys. As far as having a veteran in the group Arnaz Battle has been on the team since like…’04?

here’s what’s probably going to happen; no team will trade for him and he gets cut just before the regular season roster is finalized. there is no way the Seahawks keep him at $5 mil next year. then he signs with the Patriots, they need him because he knows their system and Wes Welker is probably not going to play much next season if at all.

Like the 49ers fan said. He brings a veteran presence and not much else. He could be this year’s Ike Bruce for them, the 2009 version worst-case and the 2008 version best-case.

If he was a free agent I wouldn’t mind having him on the 49ers just to have a veteran guy. Trading for him though, that would make no sense for any team, even in an uncapped year.
