When someone quotes unnamed sources, how are we to know whether it is fact or if they just made it up to have a good story?
Anyone can say a “source” told them something.
The guy had 0ver 700 yards in an incomplete season and being thrown to by Garrard and noone to take the coverage. Look for him to hit 1k with Palmer and Ocho getting doubled.

antman111 . . . Browms likely wont look at him, not Mangini’s type of player and I dont think its Holgrems either.
I feel like most people are looking at this signing like they expect Jones to come in and be the #2 behind Ocho. I think Bengals signed this guy with the intention he will be a 4 and if they are lucky maybe a 3 on the wr depth chart. Bengals need a tall redzone threat and thats where he fits in. . . potentially. Caldwell is Housh’s replacement, not Coles or Jones.

The entire NFL has known that Matt Jones is straight line speed only and lacked good hips or cutting ability since the combine a few years back. Matt still produced two years ago and would have last year if he hadn’t been blackballed for a year. This is obviously a lower level personnel guy who got his foot stepped on by a higher up and has an axe to grind.

I feel bad for Carson Palmer. He’s a top tier talent at QB, yet management signs on any loudmouth, deviant and degenerate that wears cleats expecting a winning product. If I were him, I’d pull a “Barry Sanders” and retire since he won’t be traded and he’ll never win with personnel moves like these.

Might be a spot for the Browns to take a chance on Pac Man.. They need help at corner and he is a cheap option. They can focus their 1st rd. pick on another position and get a quality CB in the 2nd Round.

assuming matt jones works his ass off and stays clean, he can be a solid replacement for housh. very similar play styles there, and i think palmers gonna benefit from having a west coast receiver back in town. coles and calle ocho are quick downfield guys while jones is gonna have a nice 9 yards per.
pacman jones…he can catch 6 punts at a time. why wouldnt you sign him?

maybe jones isnt a great wideout cause he…. was a QB in college.
(so-called) talent evaluators screw up another player’s life.
chauncey pullpecker and jabustus bustell should have been tight ends. and ookie… maybe a kick returner. now, a bench warmer.

I cringe when I hear the Bengals drafting 2 WRs. Last time they did that they drafted Andre Caldwell and Jerome Simpson. A 2nd rounder who cant crack the lineup and a 3rd rounder who is a career #3 WR.
