Plaxico hit with foreclosure lawsuit

P. Burress.jpgPlaxico Burress could have 3.3 million more reasons to return to the NFL.

The jailed former Giants receiver was hit with an expensive foreclosure lawsuit in Florida from Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The lawsuit was filed in Broward County Circuit Court on January 22 and concerns a $2.9 million mortgage Burress signed in 2005 for a home just north of Fort Lauderdale.  (He should have rented it out to the PFT crew for the Super Bowl!)

The 6,872-square-foot waterfront home was Burress’ official residence.   He is expected to be released from prison sometime in 2011.

And on a completely ‘unrelated’ event yesterday some guy crashed a plane into a government building after being hounded to death by the banks and the government he said they owned.

Man i know wrong its wrong but wow. This dude shots himself and gets more time than someone who kills a person. Have you seen the movie “Law Abiding Citizen”? I can see someone doing that. The system is fu$$ed up. I feel bad for the guy.

Shouldn’t his wife be paying those bills? C’mon, Plax is behind bars.

Why can’t Plax just pay the mortgage out of his savings account…

Feel bad for the guy?? Huh??? He knows the rules, the same rules all the rest of us follow. The fact that he’s ALWAYS getting himself in trouble is not just bad luck or poor Plax got screwed again — it’s because he does not give a crap about any law, any authority, any mortgage, any children, any guns, anyflorkinanything.
Stop feeling sorry for this loser. He made millions, he had fame and fortune, and if he spends the rest of his life digging out of a hole, it’s his own doing, and he shouldn’t be compared to folks digging out of hole from poverty and obscurity. Not the same thing.

I’ve never heard of a foreclosure lawsuit before. What are they suing him for? The house is colateral for the mortgage. Are they trying to take the house and some money too?

Shooting himself in the leg was just a metaphor for flurging himself in the arse.

This is his wifes fault for not keeping up with that while he is away. If he truly didnt have any money saved up for a rainy day, then he sucks.

    Dear dlmcco909
    Huh?

The news channels would talk about that, BUT…they have comments from Tiger’s mom.

He made millions while he wasn’t incarcerated, why couldn’t he have paid cash for the crib? If he wasn’t such a dumb ass he would still be free making millions. I have no sympathy for someone who throws their life away trying to be a thug. I hope Gilbert Arenas gets the same sort of treatment.

Inmate Burress better up the pace on making license plates.

Not to sound like I am defending the guy (it’s his own fault this is happening), but isn’t his wife a lawyer?
