Plaxico Burress could have 3.3 million more reasons to return to the NFL.
The jailed former Giants receiver was hit with an expensive foreclosure lawsuit in Florida from Deutsche Bank National Trust Company, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The lawsuit was filed in Broward County Circuit Court on January 22 and concerns a $2.9 million mortgage Burress signed in 2005 for a home just north of Fort Lauderdale. (He should have rented it out to the PFT crew for the Super Bowl!)
The 6,872-square-foot waterfront home was Burress’ official residence. He is expected to be released from prison sometime in 2011.
