The Jaguars have one fewer free agent.
Per a league source, tight end Ernest Wiford has signed a one-year deal to remain with the team.
Wilford spent his first four seasons in Jacksonville, before signing with the Dolphins as a free agent. After his first season in Miami, Wilford became a tight end in the hopes of sticking around for a second year. He eventually was cut, and he returned to Jacksonville.
He appeared in 15 games for the Jags as a tight end, with seven starts. He caught 11 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown.

He’s a good role player, but I see Zach Miller emerging as the Jaguars version of Dallas Clark and becoming their #2 TE who should see the field on plenty of 3rd and 4′s.
Hmmm
all he had was 11 catches and u call him a good role player? i call that a bust
Y0u know a TE does more then just catch passes right? There is this thing called blocking in the NFL and if you can do it well you are sometimes called a good role player. But I guess the avg idiot fan cant comprehend this concept….
