This could be a good move for the Rams. The top two QB’s in the draft look like Clausen and Bradford, and you have to assume the Bucs would be trading up for the opportunity to nab Suh and bolster their pass rush. The Rams would then have to hope that their choice at QB is still available at #3.
Clausen could drop as far as 9, and the Rams could forgo getting a QB, take Michael Vick, and get a 2nd tier QB in the following round (Pike, LeFevour or McCoy)

“We haven’t talked to anyone in Tampa Bay…” After bill clinton, I’m used to (over)analyzing the words people use. This could be interpreted several ways:
1. “We haven’t talked to anyone in Tampa Bay (YET)
2. “We didn’t talk to anyone in Tampa Bay (We were in Miami at the time).
3. We didn’t talk to anyone in T.B. (They talked to us)

Thing is, if the Rams really want a QB, the Bucs can stay put at #3 and be guaranteed either Suh or McCoy, depending on who the Lions take, and not give up any draft picks. They need as many players as they can get.

I heard Billy on the radio here yesterday, and he said it’s too soon for teams to even be talking about trading draft picks, they are concentrating on the combine and free agency right now. He said that no one will talk about trading picks until they figure out what they’re doing with free agents. He did say that he would love to have options, and would consider a trade when the time comes, but it’s way too soon now.
I’d love to see them trade down to #3 and get Bradford, and then go D and WR in 2nd and 3rd, then a running back after that.

Of course they have talked to the Bucs. C’mon! If I was a fan of the Rams I’m praying they trade down and get a QB. Vick or whoever they want to bring in is not the future. With that being said they probably bring in Vick and draft an OT with 3rd pick.

Best move for the Rams is to trade down and keep trading to the middle of the first, ala Cleveland last year. Forget the High priced QB, rookie salary cap next year.
Suh,as great as his potential is, is too much money to lock up on a struggling franchise.
They need lots of draft picks this year.
