All of this makes sense except one thing. The players are idiots and they have no idea what their status is, they have no clue about what their contracts mean, they have no basis for making a decision. A huge part of this mindlessness is due to their agents, who just take the quarters and offer no real advice. Part of it is that these millionaires cannot take real advice even if it was offered. Another part of it is that the players cannot figure it out on their own. Spoiled boys have no investment in learning anything.
There will be no action by the RFAs. You read it here, mark it down. No doubt.

With more than 200 players who would have been unrestricted free agents in 11 days forced to accept the fact that they’ll be slapped with much less valuable restricted free agent tenders in the uncapped year,
Florio, Rosenthal has agreed to quit using the tiresome verb “slapped” for stuff like this. Would you mind following suit?

Yeah, great advice by their agents, “Don’t show up!”
And then when they have a crappy season because they are underprepared and out-of-shape because they haven’t been working out under the watchful eyes of the team then their production goes way down (or they get benched) and when they finally do become free agents they get stiffed. Agents are ignorant!

So, let’s be honest here. Is it really, 100 percent, that this deal does not get done. Seems that way to me, they’ve been going through this for well over a year…I don’t see them hammering a deal out in roughly two weeks when there has been no new news of eitehr side comming closer to an agreement. Am I right to assume that it’s not going to happen?
