Truth be told though,doesn’t matter who is qb for the Vikings to win the North. T Jack took it,Favre took it. Hell,Tim Tebow could lead the Vikings to the title. We are that much more talented all around than Packers,Bears and Lions.

If Leber wants Favre back, let him buy Chilly an industrial size jar of KY jelly and send him down to Mississippi. This is Brent’s team now and in case you didn’t notice, look at who was telling the head coach he wasn’t coming out of the game and he was first to change plays whenever he felt like it.
Brent is fully expecting to be have a direct line into the draft room to tell the GM Spermman who to draft. He wants to dictate who to sign in Free Agency and don’ piss him off, otherwise he will huff and puff and threaten to retire, and re-retire as many times as it takes to get his way.
This is the ugly side of Favre. He thinks he should have a say in personnel matters and if you don’t listen, he will take it public. The even uglier side is his playoff performance, its a long 16 game season and to climb that mountain to get into the playoffs only to throw it away in a split second bone headed decision is something that Packers grew weary of after muliple choke playoff performances and for some odd reason (sheer stupidity), the Viking fans think it doesn’t apply to them.
We are just glad its the Viking’s head ache now, that plus how do they eventually get rid of Kol Klink and his 12 man offense.

Culpepper had a pretty damn good season statistically in 2004 and they came home with just as much hardware that year.
Bottom line: if the Vikings couldn’t get it done in 2009 with nearly the fewest injuries in the league, a weak schedule, by FAR Favre’s least interceptions and although it was a down year, 1300 yards and 18 TDs from Peterson.. I don’t know. I’m not sure there’s any reason to assume they’re going to get it done in 2010.

1. The man is going to be 41 years old, it’s not exactly a no-brainer decision.
2. Last year he didn’t join the team until late August. I think it worked out pretty good.
3. They already have two “starting” QB’s, what possible offseason decision would they have to make. Trading for Michael Vick? not an upgrade. McNabb? Would have to give up more than they’d be willing to. Whether Brett comes back on Sept 1 or March 1, is irrelevant to offseason decisions. Especially in an uncapped year.
4. He’s waiting until free agency starts to see what the Vikings do. If they do nothing, he probably calls it a career, if they make some nice moves quickly, he announces his return quickly. (Packer fans, notice that 2nd scenario never had the chance to happen with you rubes! Hahahahaha!)

I think he is waiting until the schedule release to see when and where they play their opponents. The one and only game last year in the cold (2nd half @ Chicago) he played really well but the defense couldn’t stop the potent Bears offense. Vikings in 2010 – @ Philly… @ Jets… @ Redskins … @ Patriots…@ Saints…a little more difficult than the cake walk the Vikes had in 2009.

He’s going to have a big say in the draft and some roster assingments.
Brad Childress can’t say anything yet. Packer Fans can’t wait for the decision. Brett wants certain players HERE, and wants certain players GONE.

I’m sure Barnett filled in Leber on how it’s all about Brent. Unless he can be GM and coach, he does what he wants.
The rest of the team can work, sweat, hurt, and study. Bert will spend his time in his fancy house and play catch with high school kids. At some point after all the tough stuff is done, he’ll make a decision on if the Vikes have surrounded him with enough worthy players to make him think he can look like THE hero.
Packer fans thankfully say, “God bless him, AND KEEP HIM”.
