Ochocinco is still working to get T.O. to Cincinnati

NFL_cjohnson1.jpgIn response to Rosenthal’s blurb about the Bengals’ lack of interest in swapping out the aging Laveranues Coles for the aging Terrell Owens, Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco bristled a bit, via Twitter.  (Chad apparently thought we were referring to him in the title.)

Hey I don’t age,” Chad said.  “I get sexy as I get older, I wish you would try to use that age crap with me, child please.”

So we responded:  “It must be the McDonald’s diet.  Ponce de Leon should have just eaten Big Mac Snack Wraps.”

Chad gave us an “lmao” in reply, and then he said that he’s still lobbying for the team to sign Terrell Owens.

We traded a few more tweets about Bob Glauber’s report that the Bengals aren’t interested in Owens.  Along the way, ESPN’s Adam Schefter chimed in, echoing the position that the Bengals won’t sign T.O.  (Schefter’s statement prompted Ochocinco to eventually challenge ESPN to a paintball war.)

“How can others report what our team is doing?” Chad eventually said.  “Unless OCNN says it they know nothing.”

I then asked him whether OCNN is reporting that T.O. will be a Bengal.

Said Chad:  “I have to convince management first.”

Owens becomes an unrestricted free agent on March 5, and Ochocinco has made abudantly clear his desire to get T.O. to Cincinnati.  Owens apparently is interested to play there, given his Super Bowl week vow to change his name to “Ocho Uno” if/when he becomes a Bengal.

  1. An article giving the play-by-play of your back and forth tweets with Chad Ochocinco? Child please.

  2. “So if TO’s not officially a free agent yet, is this tampering?”
Players can say what they want its not tampering. Only if its team officials is it tampering.
The Bengals won’t go for this foolishness. Chad has been enough of a cancer on his own and now he wants to combine that with the biggest locker room cancer possibly in league history. Why would anyone want to deal with that ?

Because Mike Brown likes the drama more than winning a stupid football game.

  4. He should be lobbying for the team to trade up and get Samuel Bradford because Carson is worthless

  5. Chad will be just as dead as the rest of us. Child, please. Let’s just hope age contributes, as opposed to the other options.

  6. This is sports entertainment. So why not pair those two up and sit back and watch?
Unfortunately, it would be at the expense of Bengals fans.

  7. anyone who thinks Chad Johnson is a cancer clearly doesn’t watch much football. Chad is eccentric, a diva, an attention seeker, absolutely. But a locker room cancer? Not one bit. The guy loves his teammates, and his teammates love having him.

  8. Ochosicko will say or do anything to get attention, maybe they will be an item but with both being wide receivers which one will lead while dancing.

  9. Even if they add to to Ocho can you really depend on Palmer to stay healthy, this guy is a little bi-atch with all these injuries. This Palmer talks alot of sheet about Ocho but he spends alot of time in the trainers room and on the injury list,
This guy is a fluffy puffy QB.Ocho should slap this punk a few times and get him to play.
    buh bye

  10. If we get him I bet it works FOR A SEASON….and only a season…..
But there are many hates hoping this wont happen even SOME conservative fans of Cincy…as a Bengal fan I would like this no doubt….Teams better HOPE IT DOESNT HAPPEN……
