Titans tell Bulluck's agent they want to keep him

The Tennessee Titans and the agent for linebacker Keith Bulluck had their first communication of the off-season today, eight days before Bulluck becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt told agent Gary Wichard he wants Bulluck to be a Titan in 2010, and Wichard told Reinfeldt he’ll keep in touch.

But Wichard indicated that he thinks Bulluck will have offers from a lot more teams than just the Titans.

“Keith Bulluck is a free agent a lot of teams would love to have. Where the final numbers end up, we’ll find that out eventually,” Wichard said. “But I have spoken to them and we are going to continue to talk throughout free agency. I spoke to Mike Reinfeldt and we are going to keep a open line of communication throughout the free agency process.”

Bulluck, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in December, previously said he thought he was done with the Titans. That may still be true, but the Titans want Bulluck to know that they want him back.

They want him. They just want him to work for less.
