Shanahan expects Campbell to remain with Redskins

New Redskins coach Mike Shanahan told reporters today at the NFL scouting combine that he expects restricted free agent quarterback Jason Campbell back with the team in 2010.

“I do expect him to be here,” Shanahan said.

We assume by “here,” Shanahan meant with the Redskins and not in Indianapolis.

Rumors have been swirling that Campbell could be heading elsewhere, perhaps in a trade with Buffalo, but Shanahan has always indicated that he expects to have Campbell back for at least one more season.

Speaking of Buffalo, Shanahan said one reason he found the Redskins job more appealing than the Bills job is that his wife doesn’t like the Buffalo weather.

Shanahan also said his son, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, will call the plays on offense.

I make it a point not to feel sorry for people who makes millions of dollars playing a child’s game for a living, but I can get close with Jason Campbell. He haven’t had a real O-line since Auburn.

Oh snap! Wait’ll Mrs. Shanahan works Mademoiselle’s in Buffalo – she won’t get any lap dances or tips!

And D.C. is suddenly the Miami of Northeast? I forgot Dan Snyder is going to buy all the weather over the stadium this year to make it a more tropical experience.

The thing is, we all knew this, so I’m not sure where the story is here? Chilly has stated numerous times that he doesn’t give a shit, yet the media refuses to accept this and they create stories that aren’t actually stories, to report on. Then, when they ask Chilly the same question again, it’s suddenly a story again.
    Holy Insanity, Batman!!!

hearing how Clausen is a brat and his father likes to medle and get involved, we need to keep campbell especially if the Rams indeed take bradford. I read shit saying clausen got popped in the eye because he was running his mouth and had nothing to back it up with. lol Punk! besides, this would force shanny’s hand to draft Okung which would be great!
    HAIL SUCKA!

I hope he’s talking about the soup. Jason Campbell is one perplexed puppy. Too many different systems in too short a time. His brain is still trying to sort out Zorn terminology from Gibbs let alone the other 5 or 6 guys over the last 6 or 7 years.
The only hope for him is that Shanny is as good with QB’s as he is at cut blocking scheme’s and can find a way to help Campbell sort it out on a mental level… Otherwise I see him ringing the Camp-Bell on the way out of town.

What does story about Shannahan/Campbell have to do with “Chilly”. Isnt “Chilly” the coach of the Vikings? How is that relevant to the ‘Skins……

Hahahaha, “you heard”….lol. Is that the “word on the street…”? LMFAO.
Some dude that hates the fact that ND sucks, saw Clausen, and punched him in the face……this isnt a gang war or anything. “He didnt have anything to back it up”???? Isnt that the definition of “running your mouth”? If you had something to back it up, it wouldnt be running your mouth…..
But, since you “read shit” about him, site your source, so we can all “read shit” about him, otherwise, you are a “punk” “running your mouth with nothing to back it up”…….

Jason Campbell (born December 31, 1981 in Laurel, Mississippi) is the starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins He sucks at playing Quarterback and has oversized lips. in the American National Football League.

Wife??? Next where going to here that she didn’t want to come to Buffalo because there is nothing to do here (ala McGahee)…
With stupid comments like that Im glad he is not coaching here in Buffalo. Nothing would make me feel better than seeing the skins go 0-16 this season with Mr. Invincible at the helm…

campbell is 13-30 except for the magical start to the 08 season.
