Since Antonio Pierce was released, there has been speculation that he could possibly end up in St. Louis under his old coach Steve Spagnuolo.
The Rams coach said Saturday he’s had a “social conversation” with his former middle linebacker, but Pierce is a “long way away from all the things he has to do with his health and what not.”
The health concerns raised are different than we’ve heard from Pierce, who said his neck injury is not problem. Giants coach Tom Coughlin also indicated that Pierce’s release wasn’t related to the injury.
Based on Spagnuolo’s statements, Pierce doesn’t sound likely to join any NFL team anytime soon.
Smokescreen.
Never liked Pierce
Coughlin’s comment may be about helping Pierce get on another team.
What would they do with Pierce when they have Lauranitis (sp?) who had a great year last year as a rookie.
Pierce could spell Animal Jr. and could help them add a 3-4 defense to change things up like on the Madden Cover 2 defenses ;D
