He quit on his team and blamed everyone but himself huh. Sounds like the former governor of Alaska if you ask me. If he gets picked up by a red state team they’ll love him.

He was a good player in college, but he did quit on his team. I would take a late rd flyer on the guy no doubt. 7th rd pick is a crapshoot anyhow. If he isn’t drafted someone will sign him as a undrafted free agent.

Didn’t interview well?? Blaming his teammates etc? Lol.. man whenever I hear that I always think back to Karlos Dansby.. I remember reading up on him when he was at the combine, they said the same thing… he’s worked out pretty well… grant it different people.. but just because supposedly he interviewed “poorly” doesn’t mean he won’t be a good player.

Well if this guy gets drafted or signed via free agency they better be a superbowl caliber team to make this dude happy. Maybe the Ravens will take him considering almost everyone who plays for them plays dirty.

Al Davis loves these kind of guys. I would say he could very well go in the first as a Raider.
They have Taylor Price, Jacoby Ford and a number of 40 timed people rated ahead , im sure.
They’d probably take Jacoby Ford or Kyle Wilson, they’d end up a bust and Mike Williams later, and he completely becomes Anquan Boldin or Antonio Bryant (both good receivers with so-so speed, but supposed “attitudes”.)

the best thing for this Mike guy is for him to be on a team’s practice squad for his first year, put him in his place and maybe that’ll change his attitude problems.
Make him appreciate being in the NFL, not just hand it to him.

A couple others have said our Clueless drooling bafoon of an owner would draft this guy. Normally he would jump at the chance for a player like that. There is one problem though that has this guy off the Davis draft board. Its the only unforgiveable sin a player can have. The 4.62, 40 time.

It wouldn’t matter if this source worked for a team because I’m sure that they’ve all asked him this info and if answered it differently for them, they’ll blow off the source but if it’s the same, it would only reinforce their opinion of him.

Seriously, people have been fawning all over Gilyard for coming clean and owning up to his mistakes and you’d think that he would have seen all this and thought that it might be the better route than blaming everyone else.

I don’t know Mike Williams from anyone and I don’t care about the guy but I’m starting to find PFT’s incessant use of unnamed negative sources to limit PFT’s credibility. Journalistically, there is no value to continually allow people to make negative comments and assessments without providing names. For all we know, this comment came from some ballboy. But we’re supposed to just take PFT’s word for it that its a legit, qualified pro personnel person. That’s laughable and downright arrogant on PFTs part. After a while, all the anonymous quotes ring hollow and worthless. Maybe PFT, a good site, could step its game up and start getting people to go on record or stop reporting anonymous singular opinions because ultimately, as much as they may seem interesting, they get as much credibility as a tabloid and people tune out.

Before you took what this “source” told you and ran with it- writing this extremely negative article- I sincerely hope you took into consideration the team that this “source” worked for, and whether they would be hoping a reciever they wanted to draft in a middle round slips to them.
This is the time of year that team “sources” slip all kinds of negative information about players in an attempt to manipulate other team’s draft boards. I know all teams had access to the player to make their own conclusions, but there is no doubt this type of mud-slinging goes on.
I would hope you would do your homework before publishing this highly damaging info about this player, but knowing how PFT typically operates, I won’t hold my breath.

Kinda like when you said Belichik wanted Childress to think he wanted Harvin when he really didn’t and when Childress selected Harvin it made Belichik look like a genius in your eyes?
