In response to the news that Oklahoma State lineman Russel Okung didn’t finish his Scouting Combine workout due to an injury, a source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Okung wanted to continue.
Per the source, trainers directed Okung not to finish the workout.
Though we’ve never caught wind of liability concerns regarding the Combine drills, we can understand why the powers-that-be would pull the plug on a guy who could do more damage to himself — and thus harm his draft stock — by working out while injured.
We’re told it’s a minor tweak to the groin, and that it should not affect Okung’s pre-draft preparations.

Is it acceptable to be pulling your groin during the underwear olympics?
“it should not affect Okung’s pre-draft preparations”???
Isn’t the combine part of his pre-draft preparations? Didn’t it affect his combine performance, in that he “didn’t finish his workout”?
I’ll admit I’m drinking, but this is confusing.
If anyone watched his participation, you could see how focused, determined and intense he was. If there’s not a new dent punched into a wall somewhere at Lucas Oil Stadium, I’d be surprised.
38 reps.. i hope either he or berry fall to #5
So he should get character points for guts and fortitude anyway, right?

He’s spent. He needs to drop to late 1st round (Dallas pick).
