Bet you thought that TO would be a Dallas Cowboy in 2009 too when Jones said that he couldn't imagine a scenario that had TO playing for any other team, right? Yeah, TO was surprised, too.
************************
A BIG difference there because he got Owens AFTER Philly released him, which meant that he gave up no draft choices while it has cost him a first, a third and a 6th (while getting back a 7th) to pick up the OTHER Roy Williams. Now, if Jerry releases him within the next week, we'll know that Roy's been "T.O.'d" and if not, he's too embarrassed to admit his mistake.

Jones was asked if he could envision a situation where Williams didn't start and he rightfully said no. You expected him to say yes?
Bet you thought that TO would be a Dallas Cowboy in 2009 too when Jones said that he couldn't imagine a scenario that had TO playing for any other team, right? Yeah, TO was surprised, too.
Hey Florio, remember when you made that stupid comment about how the Cowboys players would not all be on the same page because you can't believe anything that Jones tells the media because he told the media that he wanted TO back in '09, then the Cowboys ended up cutting him? Yeah I can't believe that you said that, either. But here you go:
<a href="http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/03/05/jones-inconsistencies-could-create-more-problems-for-cowboys/" rel="nofollow">http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/03/05/jones-inconsistencies-could-create-more-problems-for-cowboys/</a>
"Regardless of the motivation for saying one thing and doing another, Jones has made it harder to get his players on the same page by creating the clear impression that the things the organization says cannot be believed."
When are you ever gonna learn? He says one thing to you and the rest of the media vultures, and at the same time he's telling something else to the people that actually matter. Here's a direct quote from Jerry Jones that I suggest you refer to when Jones says anything because he seems to love to cross you mainstream media guys up.
"When I make a statement, it's absolutely true on the day I make it."

Vox: That's a pretty weak response. I guess it goes to show that that's the best you can come up with when confronted with the facts: The Cowgirls suck, and the Steelers are better in every way, shape, and form, both recently and in terms of franchise history.
Have fun enjoying single playoff wins against your crappy NFC East rivals and unceremonious exits from the playoffs at the hands of epic choker Tony Romo.
I'll instead enjoy the fruits of the labor of a REAL quarterback who is capable of engineering game-winning drives and bringing home Lombardi trophies while you cherish the memories you cling to of the last decent quarterback you guys had - that Troy guy in the early 90s.

Vox would never be a minister, the bible clearly states that homosexuality is sin and Vox does have his preferences, preferably to bend over for any Dallas Cowboy and do make it hurt.
All this excuse making and the Cowboys still suck. Ten years without a playoff victory till this year and the lone win against the Eagles did little to impress anyone, especially since they laid a huge egg the following week.
Its comical, but notice when the Cowgirls got destroyed by the Eagles in the previous year, Vox disappered for months, ah, those were the good ol days.

"VoxVeritas: Ask the crappy Eagles how winning the division and winning playoff games consistently worked out for them from 2000-2008."
I'm not asking the 0-3gles crap. Why should I? They're perfectly happy with what they are.
"While the Cowgirls have failed year-in and year-out now for the past 4 years with Romo at the helm, and not have any real success since the Clinton Administration... other teams like the Steelers aren't content to sit on old Lombardis from past decades."
They're not content to follow NFL rules, either.
<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2000/05/20/sports/plus-football-pittsburgh-steelers-penalized-for-pay-violations.html?pagewanted=1" rel="nofollow">http://www.nytimes.com/2000/05/20/sports/plus-football-pittsburgh-steelers-penalized-for-pay-violations.html?pagewanted=1</a>
"The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their third-round pick in the 2001 draft and were fined $150,000 by the National Football League yesterday for violating salary cap rules with the retired offensive tackle Will Wolford."
Seriously, how can you stomach rooting for a cheating organization like the Steelers? When the game is over, do you stop by the men's bathroom to munch on a few urinal cakes and piss-soaked cigarette butts to get your previous level of self-respect back?

"Right now you probably have on the scowl of a mental patient because you realize how much of a hypocrite you are. So just to clarify, what were the Cowboys compared to the Eagles in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008?"
They were the non-Super Bowl winners, just like the 0-3gles. Simple enough for you?

"Actually, moron, you claimed to have studied to become minister or preacher (sorry, don't remember which, nor do I care)."
Accuracy has never been one of your strong points, has it? What I said was that I became an ordained minister. I never said that I "studied" for it because I didn't have to. I filled out a form on a web page and voila, I'm an ordained minister. I became an ordained minister to prove a point. Point being that becoming an ordained minister isn't hard as most people think it is, and that ordained ministers shouldn't be looked to as authorities on religion or any other matters.
But even if I had "studied" to become a minister, what difference would it make? I still never said that I was a Christian. Dumb assumption on your part. Christianity is not the only religion, and certainly not the only religion that uses ministers.
"If you reject all forms of organized religion, then why jump down Florio's throat when he's calls out your born again heroes on their hypocrisy?"
My heroes don't play football. Florio calls out what he views as hypocrites by being a hypocrite, himself.
"Loved how Warner is helping out down in Haiti, BTW."
He's a great guy from what I can tell.
"Yeah they matter but you can't win a Super Bowl IF YOU DON'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, so the playoffs matter, too. "
"Funny how you dismiss that argument as being "desperate" and "wrong" when an Eagles fan makes it."
I don't dismiss the argument. I say that winning a playoff game isn't enough. As a Cowboys fan, I really do see every season that goes by without a Super Bowl win as a failed season, but that's relative to the Cowboys. I've seen more, I EXPECT more. 0-3gles fans seem to be happy with making the playoffs. They see it as a successful season. And in truth, it is a measure of success, the bottom line is still that you have to make the playoffs to even have a chance to win the Super Bowl. As a Cowboys fan, there's not much difference to me between not making the playoffs and making the playoffs but not winning the Super Bowl. However, that does not mean that since *I* consider anything less than a Super Bowl win a failure, that the Cowboys are failures in comparison to the 0-3gles or their fans, who seem to be content to just make the playoffs and win a game here and there.
I think it boils down to low expectations on the part of the 0-3gle fans.
"This is where you show how dimwitted you truly are. YOU'RE the tool that sees the world as black & White. Born again - great, Catholic - bad."
What is it with you nimrods that makes you constantly want to put words in my mouth?
I know what it is. You can't deal with the things that I say so you have to make things up. You're railing at windmills, Don Quixote. You say that I think that born again = good and Catholic = bad? Well put up or shut up, big guy. If you can find a post where I've even IMPLIED that I will never post to PFT again. Here's your chance to be a big hero. Prove that I simply implied it in any of the posts I've ever made, I don't even want you to find a post where I came out and said it, just find one where I implied it, and you're the big PFT hero.
You're not going to be able to do it. That makes you a liar. Put up or STFU and forever be known as a liar.
"Obama - bad, Bush - great."
Never said or implied that, either. In fact I believe I've said that I've never voted for a Bush in my life. Dude I'm from Texas, do you know how many times I've had the chance to vote for a Bush? Provide the post where I even IMPLIED that.
You're not going to be able to do it. That makes you a liar. Again, put up or STFU and get off my pants leg, you yapping little poodle of a supposed man.
"Eagles - bad, Cowboys - great."
Well that should go without saying.
So what's it gonna be, East96St? Are you a hero or a dumbass liar that should never ever talk your filthy, lying, typical NY bullshit to me ever again? "Dimwitted" indeed. You're a dimwitted liar and you have to show the posts to prove that you're anything but that. Show the posts or kiss my "redneck" ass.

“Eagles – bad, Cowboys – great.”
Well that should go without saying.
So what’s it gonna be, East96St? Are you a hero or a dumbass liar that should never ever talk your filthy, lying, typical NY bullshit to me ever again? “Dimwitted” indeed. You’re a dimwitted liar and you have to show the posts to prove that you’re anything but that. Show the posts or kiss my “redneck” ass.

Yeah, still doing your best to redirect that REAL story, which is how you Steeler fans held on to those rings for 26 years since CARTER and then have the nerve to compare that to 15 years. You try to show us your math skills by saying that 6 > 5 but you then turn around and try to make everyone think that 15 > 26 (Apparently, ONE child was left behind in your family).
Roy Williams just wasn't properly developed in Detroit, due to an array of bad coaching over his NFL career. The only time he probably shined in Detroit was when Martz was the OC, and Harrington was out of the picture. He racked up over 1000 yards in his first season with Martz. After Martz left, Detroit took a giant offensive leap into high school football playbook plays, which led to 0-16.
Dallas, I'd see what he can do this year, and then call it quits on him.

Unfortunately, Jerry can't admit that he makes a lot of mistakes. After hiring a strong coach in Johnson, he hired puppet after puppet until he was forced to hire Parcells and now, he's back to trying to be the puppet master. The team needs a REAL GM, who isn't related and who has the power to make real decisions and doesn't have Jerry's hand up his back. It was bad enough that he spent all those picks on Williams when they had so much talent at the position in the first place (As I've been saying for years, that group of receivers is the deepest that I've ever seen in Dallas and all they needed was a chance on the field) but then he compounds it by giving the guy a contract for 5 years based on potential and NOT what he actually did on the field and now it's biting him in the ass with Miles Austin. He should just cut his losses and move on with the guys that are there. Hurd and Ogletree both have the potential to break out and can they really drop any more passes than Williams?

@ vox says: "Hey as long as the Cowboys keep winning the division and making the playoffs I couldn't care less if Jones had an actual monkey as head coach"
Oh, hell no! You, sir, are a hypocrite.
You have argued for far too long that "winning the division & making the playoffs" is not considered a successful season nor acceptable. And now this?!?
Drama in Dallas, a schism if you will, between Grimace (played by Wade) & Phantom of the Opera (jones) w/a comeo from Howdy Doody (garrett)........oh, it's gonna get interesting!
And who the hell is Mike D?!? Beasties got a lot of money, he doesn't need this gig...

You'd think that after drafting Quincy Whatshisname a number of years ago, that Jones would have learned a modicum of humility and occasionally admit when he made a bad move.
I guess not!
