ABC announces that Ochocinco will dance with the stars

On Monday afternoon, TMZ reported that Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco will participate in the upcoming new season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Ochocinco ignored the matter on his Twitter page, stating instead that people shouldn’t “believe rumors unless OCNN reports.”

Moments ago, ABC announced that Ochocinco will indeed be one of the contestants, along with a group that includes ESPN’s Erin Andrews and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

On the surface, the development has no significance to football.  But it means that, if Chad progresses through the competition, he could eventually miss most if not all of the team’s voluntary offseason workouts.

It could be enough to get coach Marvin Lewis to say, “Child please.”

Poor guy just wasn’t getting enough air time. Who doesn’t want a little more Ochocinco in their life?

Are you trying to tell me that the Bungles spend money that they don’t have to spend?

I’m absolutely fine with Chad Johnson dancing with the “stars”… As long as he sleeps with the fishes shortly thereafter.

if you weren’t on here writing or doing whatever it is you do everyday you would enjoy to do what he is doing! dont lie to yourself..
…oh and he doesn’t raise legal issues, ever…
and he is involved in the community.
    …he gets my endorsement..
but that doesnt mean he doesnt get annoying sometimes..

As much as I heart the NFL(I’m cheating on the Cardinals mascot((who for this purpose is a female bird)) with the “Duke” football,) here’s hoping ol Buzz wins!
I won’t be watching this nonsense, of course, but the only thing I love more than football is my family and space exploration. Here’s hoping the old man can kick some major ass dancing with the dimming stars!
Miss me Flori-o-i-O? Thought I’d make a special appearance on my 26th birthday.
    War exploring new frontiers

    Douche.

    I agree. I will watch that show because #1…Erin Andrews, and #2 Erin Andrews….and #3 Erin Andrews…and #4 Ochocinco.
Now, if they could only partner Julliana Hough and Erin Andrews together, I AM SOLD!
I will say this. That show has carved out a little niche. Emmit won it, Jerry Rice finished second.
Lets see what Chad Johnson (his mama calls him Johnson) has!

Have the Cowboy’s heard about this yet? And if so, will he sign as a free agent there some day. I think he needs a TO.

  19. WTE says: Mar 2, 2010 6:20 AM

One thing is guaranteed….The chick he will dance with will have an amazing butt.

  20. hineswardcriesafterfumbling says: Mar 2, 2010 7:55 AM

I like the ocho, but I wouldn’t have watched DWTS just to see him.
I will however tune in to see EA, and Chad will provide the comic relief.

Uh maybe you should read the news on occasion.
Google Chad Johnson sued, just be sure and allow enough time to read all the articles.
Just don’t start hatin’ as OchoAzzo counts on tools believing his lame act.

  22. PersonalFoul says: Mar 2, 2010 9:56 AM

    @Whodeyo8…
I understand your point…but, I didn’t look to the civil matter as something of the type of legal issue that would raise a flag.
Every person walking this earth is subject to some sort of civil suit pending a disagreement, failure to perform, or some misunderstanding…
I believe that issue was over a car or something of the sort…contract dispute to me, is not something I would hold over someone’s head..

  23. Whodey08 says: Mar 2, 2010 3:44 PM

PersonalFoul if you’ve searched you’ve found it was not just over a car loan. The douche has been sued several times over the years for non payment.
Civil court yes, but a pattern not a one time thing; basically a track record.
