He’s a non-factor in the passing game, not versitile whatsoever. That explains why they’d tender him so low. They’ll sign LaDainian Tomlinson to replace him and get him his first ring.

You blame Bell. Bell is a grown ass man enough to know whether or not he has the right shoes on. And as indicated on NFL Films, Payton said before the game to the players to make sure that they had on the proper cleats.
Pierre Thomas was also undrafted so that isn’t the reason why the Saints wouldn’t get anything for Bell. They value Thomas higher than Mike Bell, despite the stats being somewhat identical only because of PT’s injuries earlier in the season and he could’ve had a 1000 yard season. Mike Bell started off spectacular earlier with 140 against Detroit and sub 100 against the Eagles but went downhill ever since then. He was a non-factor in games they needed him the most like the atlanta game on mnf and against the patriots. He isn’t much of a smart runner, soon as he takes the handoff he likes to run into contact rather than follow the holes first to make it seem like he’s a “true” power runner.

Bell may sign with someone else who is looking for another complimentary back. He has good vision and power. I think his best bet would be to stay with the Saints however. One of their backs will get banged up during the year which will only increase his playing time.

I had a $20 Super Bowl prop bet, Mike Bell scoring a TD at +350. So, who do I charge, Mike Bell for wearing the wrong shoes or Sean Payton for not making sure he had the right shoes?
