In response to Monday’s item from Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal regarding concerns caused by the debt contained in Shahid Khan’s bid for the Rams, Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch offers a different view.
Miklasz lays out various details to support his position.
It’s worth a read, and I’m not saying that only because I’m too lazy to summarize the points here. (But that’s part of it.)
Bottom line? Khan wouldn’t have gotten this far if he wasn’t legit. It doesn’t mean he’ll definitely secure approval, but the arrangement has progressed well beyond the point of a rich guy who likes sports.
