How can one even respond to such dribble. The Packers are a publically owned team and as such, a relocation to LA would have to be approved by the team owners (public) Even if you took the position that anything is possible, the chances of the local community approving a Packer move to LA is less than the chances of the Vikings winning a Superbowl, in other words, its never going to happen.

Sorry but the Vikings were the ones that were on the list of teams that could move to LA, not the Packers. It would nearly impossible for the Packers to ever move.

With that being said ticket prices in LA would skyrocket. Don’t think packers would ever move? Ask Browns fans how they feel about that…

In regards to the third round tender, it probably reflects trade talks the Vikings already had with teams. His value no doubt set by the marketplace.

Julius Brown – the Eagles last year went into NY after beating the Vikings and beat the Giants – badly, with the Eagles D making Manning look bad.
That team ended up going to the NFC Title game.
I’m not saying Jackson is good, but he’s not bad either. There are worse QBS starting in the NFL – Brady Quinn, I’m looking at you.

Anyone who’s listened to Childress over the past year would notice he always mentions Sage before Jackson. Familiarity with the offense was the only reason T-Jack was the designated backup. If Jackson is on the roster this year, his role will be reversed.

They had to use the 1st on Ray. I am a bit surprised they went 2nd on Fred Evans and 3rd on T. I didn’t know that Fred was the type of player a team might splurge a 2 on.
Jackson has some tools and some grasp on the Vikings offense. But he’d probably have a lot of trouble adjusting to a new system. People write the kid off but remember he’s only started two seasons and was very raw out of college. It isn’t like the book is closed there. He’s flashed at times and has decent QB rating and winning record.
But the Vikings are too good of a team to risk it with the kid. Brett will come back and it will be another glorious season, hopefully with a happier ending…

Usually it’s just JimmySmith’s whiny comments that I laugh at, now there’s Real Vikings Fan too!
T-Jack is better than Brett? You can dislike him all you want, but take off the blinders ding dong.
I’ve probably been a Vikings…wait, football fan longer than you’ve been alive, and although he was a Packer, the guy is a tough ass football player who brings to this game what 70% of the other players do not.

But anyway,When it comes to Rosenfels really dont know what we have, while its true that in his tenure with the texans he threw quite a few interceptions, however his yardage totals vs games played was quite impressive, if not spectacular.
Im interested what this last year did for Jackson, when he was drafted he was obviously not ready for the NFL, however lack of effort was never an issue with him and a year of sitting behind favre and watching tape never hurt anyone, if he can get his mind around the nfl game he has all the physical tools to be very good.

No one would give any draft pick to get T Jack or Sage.
Except for your, soon to be neighbor, Oakland freakin Raiders.
T Joke and Childress are probably gonna rent a house together in LA. My money is that Childress does the cooking….he did wear a dress on a plane.
Adrian Peterson gets left behind though…he fumbles the plane ticket and misses the move to LA.

It may not neccesarily be a cultural or racial thing at all. I think the guy can succeed as a QB at the NFL level and I share no ethnicity nor community with the guy in any way. He can scramble, he’s got a big arm, and he’s got middle of the road accuracy for the young guy that he is. with practice and teaching a guy can become more accurate, with experience he can learn to read NFL level defenses. you can’t teach fast, and the arm is either something you have, or something you don’t.
Anyone who has a problem labeling a black QB a bust need look no further than russell in oakland to see a perfect example of a bust. wouldn’t make a difference to me what color the guy was so long as he has the things that a person can’t learn, and has the ability to learn the things he needs to, which i think Tjack does.

First, Rosenfels is probably not the quarterback of the future (i.e., post-Favre). He was not activated for a single game last season; Jackson was always the backup to Favre. Second, the tender means that the Vikings can match any offer Jackson receives. Since he has had an inconsistent record as a starter, and may be injury-prone, there is no reason to believe that another team will offer a big contract and give up a third-round pick to acquire Jackson. It’s a gamble, but a sensible one under the circumstances.

Tarvaris Jackson is a lost cause if you want to win in the playoffs despite all of the surrounding talent in MN. The Vikes had better draft someone to bring along after Favre retires at the end of the upcoming season.
I really don’t understand how so many fans could be fooled into thinking otherwise. The Vikings knew he wasn’t good enough to get the job done, hence, Rosenfels and Favre.
Yet you keep seeing fervent supporters. I don’t know if this is a racial/cultural thing where people just won’t admit an African-American quarterback is somewhere between a bust and very mediocre on his very best day or if he just somehow inspires others to drink the kool-aid regarding his abilities.
But there haven’t been any teams looking to trade for him and you won’t see them in the future. I’ve never heard any talent evaluator or GM talk glowingly in terms of Jackson since he got the opportunity to start for a season in MN. He looked completely lost and unable to move a team at all in the playoff game versus a decent but not excellent Eagles defense (the Saints proved that the next week).
There really was no need to tender him other than to fish for draft picks if someone is dumb enough to sign him away. Maybe Buffalo is that dumb though so there you go.

Didn’t figure they brought in Sage thinking he would hold the clipboard. TJack is on the way out. Having an extension, it would be a smart move for Chilly to draft another QB to develop. If he hits, it could mean another contract. Not a great QB class, though.

I dont think Vikes are interested in Sage,,,, And im really not either take a look at the numbers with the Texans (not just the one game Vs the vikings) Throwing to Andre, Scaffe and Walters he threw more INTs than TDs …… Really I think the Vikes are trying to figure out how to get rid of sage,,,,,,,, T-Jack Still has upside if he learns ,,,,, Sage is a career back-up and T-Jack is probley the best Qb sage hasent been able to beat out for a starting job,,, And that aint saying much….. Anyone who wants Sage over T, has only seen the game where he looked good vs Vikes and thats about it…….

Just think of this.
Aaron Rogers is a great musician and movie critic– will see if he is a great qb in 15 years!!
How could the Packers afford too lose sooo much football culture, lore, and MONEY???
Green Bay will lose an estimated $500 million for letting Brett go.
Like him or not is not relevant – It’s about the money and a folk lore hero!!! It will never make sense.
Tavaris is a good guy but no one is BF. Even Payton is a bit mechanical and his rocky marriage, living father, and cancer free wife are easy for PT. Well maybe not the wife stuff- I am quite sure his marriage is bad.
Farve- good guy, great son, great dad, great person, and yes a diva, but he is one of a kind.
