The Cleveland Browns have announced the tenders that will apply to their restricted free agents.
Safety Abram Elam, running back Jerome Harrison, linebacker D’Qwell Jackson, linebacker Matt Roth, limnebacker Jason Trusnik, and fullback Lawrence Vickers each were tendered at the second-round level.
Omitted from the list were tight end Greg Estandia and safety Brodney Pool.
The omission of Estandia and Pool was first pointed out by Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Technically, a restricted free agent who does not receive a tender offer does not become an unrestricted free agent. He’s still a restricted free agent — he simply has no restrictions.
On one hand it’s a distinction without a difference. On the other hand it means that the final eight teams can freely sign them, since they are not “unrestricted free agents.”

Go get him Steelers! They are parting ways with Ryan Clark so they need some depth at the Fs position. Brodney Pool might not hit hard like Clark, but he has eyes like a hawk.
I’d like to see this guy in a Rams uniform as a back up safety.. I’m sure he’ll get plenty of work with our starting defensebacks always being hurt.
Damaged goods B Pool. Too many concusions
