Theismann not only returned punts, dumbass, he also won a Super Bowl.
Just becasue it’s fashionable for the herd to bash him these days doesn’t diminish his accomplishments.
And maybe getting your own leg broke might make it a little less humorous for you. Be careful.
As far as Randle El, I didn’t realize he was still in the league…………

I would love to see Theismann return punts. He’d have to get his hair messed up and might possibly break a leg again, just like his one memorable play from a career that nobody thinks as much of as himself.

66% of his receptions last year were for first downs, 64% in 2008, and 75% in 2007. Not sure how this stacks up with other receivers with 50 to 60 receptions, but it is not too shabby.
ARE has more Super Bowl TD passes than such ‘elite’ QBs as Phillip Rivers, Tony Romo, Aaron Rogers and Carson Palmer. Also, more Super Bowl receptions than Chad 85.
Not exactly a hall of famer, but a good guy to have on your team if teamwork is your means to success.

This was a looooong time coming. ARE is a nice guy but it takes more than that to earn a roster spot. It’s easy to sour on the guy especially after years of his ineffective punt returning but he could be a decent No. 3 guy for a more established offense.
Finally, someone new returning punts in 2010!!!

Well Redskins thats what you get for overpaying for a third string wide reciever . The day he left Pittsburgh we all seen the writing . Dont feel bad though you wasnt the first to overpay for players let go by the Steelers .
The list is long thats for sure . He wont comeback to the Steelers either . Unless he wants to be a 4th wr to finish his career . Last season butterfingers Washington was signed by Tennessee for big cheese . They will see in a few more years how he will turn out . The last Steeler reciever to leave that was worth it was Burress . Now gimpy is doing 2 years for stupidity .

I don’t think they will since that have the #4 overall pick. Unless they trade for another 1st rounder or bargain with the Broncos for a cheaper price. But being a Bronco fan living in Denver, I think they would rather keep Marshall rather than give him up for less than a 1st rd pick.

I love Randle El as a person and a competitor but his production did not amount to the money we paid as a #2 WR. He was better suited as a slot guy but we were never able to draft and trade for a #1 WR to help the passing game.
