Alfonso Boone stays in San Diego

Alfonso Boone is sticking with the Chargers.

Boone, a defensive end who was signed by the Chargers in September after being cut by the Chiefs, spent a few hours as an unrestricted free agent before re-signing with the Chargers to a two-year contract.

The Chargers announced today that Boone has been signed.

Boone played 13 games for the Chargers in 2009, starting four and recording three sacks. He previously played two seasons for the Chiefs and seven for the Bears.

Congratulations Alphonso Boone…you are yet another affirmation that ‘The King of Missteps’ KC egoli hasn’t a clue what he’s doing with my Chiefs.
Boone did better for SD than either of KC’s $tarting DEs, and another player that the errant & arrogant egoli let go for nothing – S Bernard Pollard – merely became a star in HOU, drawing a 1st round tender. Even LJ carried for a 4.5 yards per in CIN after he got off the sinking ship that be my Chiefs under the poor, poor management now in place there.
Egoli did sign a soon to be 36 year old relic LB vrabel, and he rescued former UFL waiver wire member QB, palko (gesundheit); keep up the great work egoli. You STINK! & so does hailme! 16 more losses for KC in 2010!
