Broncos bag Nathan Jones

The Denver Broncos continue to add bodies to the roster, announcing the acquisition of former Dolphins cornerback Nathan Jones.

Jones was one of the guys whose names emerged as visitors to the team not long after free agency officially launched.

He spent the past two years in Miami after four with the Cowboys.

The Broncos also have announced the signing of defensive tackle Justin Bannan, confirming prior reports to that effect.

The also hosted 49ers offensive tackle Tony Pashos on Friday, but he has not yet signed a contract.

Just for fun, the Dolphins should sign the Blackwood Brothers to one-day contracts, cut them and then see if the Broncos sign them.

Look for Redskins to give Pashos whatever he wants, since they struck out on Clifton.

This guy really sucks, I doubt he makes the roster. Glad he’s gone, constantly out of position and giving up plays.

This must tell us that the Broncos are not high on Alphonso Smith, 2nd round choice last year.
Many hope that it is just a learning curve.
Ty Law will be cut soon.

    congratulations Broncos.
Im a Fins fan and he is really a good player.
With the depth we have at CB right now he wasnt worth keeping around. He will be a good Nickel. He isnt a No. 2 and gosh he was killing me in the Steelers game, being 2-3 times in position to sack/stomp Roethlisberger into the ground and did not deliver.

Well, Alfy may of been picked in the second round but they gave next years #1 pick to get him.
In essence,he’s Denver’s #1 pick in 2010 AND he gonna be a bust.
Tough times in Denver right now.

Actually ‘Beauregard’, Denver is quite high on Smith, but they do need depth at the cornerback position and Jones is more then likely being brought in as a nickleback more then anything else. This was not meant to be a big name signing to fit a major need!

Beauregard can see the future. Alphonso Smith is “gonna be a bust”. what are the powerball numbers? So in your logic anyone that is drafted has to become a pro bowler at the end of their first season??? I wish you ran a franchise, I’m sure you’d be super at it. What an ass clown.

i’m no genius but i’m pretty sure that giving up a 1st rounder to get a second rounder is not good math – I love josh, but he’s trying too hard to be bill belichick.

Trade a future 1st rd. pick to draft a diminutive nickel CB in the 2nd rd. and then the very next year you have to look to free agency to sign a diminutive nickel QB?!?
This moves makes the Alphonso Smith trade even worse… if that’s possible!
