Veteran defensive tackle Grady Jackson, who appeared in 15 games and started 13 for the Lions in 2009, has been released, according to John Niyo of the Detroit News.
Jackson signed with Detroit in 2009, after spending 2008 with the Falcons. The 13-year veteran launched his career as a member of the Raiders. He also has played for the Saints, Packers, and Jaguars.
A four-game suspension continues to hover over him, due to the ingestion of StarCaps. His case was tabled by the league after litigation filed by Vikings defensive tackles Pat and Kevin Williams resulted in an injunction. If/when the league prevails, Jackson could face the same punishment.
Then again, the 37-year-old might be retired long before the situation is resolved.

Cmon Greg and Mike, there’s much bigger fish to fry in the form of real news stories!!!!!!!!
It would take a lot to jettison Grady Jackson.
I guess the Lions will now need to fire 4 team chefs as well since their services are no longer needed.
Grady Jackson? Wasn’t he Fred G. Sanford’s neighbor?
When the hell did he move to Detroit?
