Rothlisberger won’t be suspended by the NFL. He won’t be picketed. He won’t be villified on every message board. I guess the only thing that gets America ticked is killing dogs. As long as you only kill minorities ( Stallworth) , Rape and assualt minorities (Rothlisberger Druckenmiller), and abuse painkillers (Favre) you pretty much are okay. sic

Not really. 1) ESPN is well known to be run by hacks, so screwing up a major story is all in a day’s work for them. Plus, Ben doesn’t work for them, so it’s quite possible if he did, he would be fired just like Irvin was. Therefore, you cannot prove a double standard exists.
2) Roethlisberger, even if he is guilty, is still about 20 felonies behind Irvin. Face it, Ben is an amateur compared to Irvin when it comes breaking state and federal laws.
3) Even though Ben sounds like he has a third grade education, he still seems like a well spoken genius when compared to the incoherent ramblings of Irvin, which is probably the main basis for Irvin being fired. Except for drooling fanboys like you, everyone pretty much acknowledges that he is horrible on air. Better than Emmitt, but still horrible.

ESPN has still not reported on this. I suggest that everyone flood them with requests to know why. I find this interesting since Ben is white while Irvin is black and they fired Irvin. I usually am not one to talk about race being an issue, but ESPN has some explaining to do. Contact them!
