Schwartz shows up at Vanden Bosch's house

KVB.jpgTaking a page from Rex Ryan’s playbook, Lions coach Jim Schwartz showed up at defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch’s house just after midnight after free agency opened.

Schwartz, of course, coached Vanden Bosch when he was the defensive coordinator in Tennessee.

Based on Schwartz’s obvious appreciation for Vanden Bosch and Detroit’s huge need at defensive end, we’d be shocked if the Lions didn’t close the deal.

In unrelated news, my wife just showed up at our apartment after getting off work.  (She’s a cook.)  I’m not getting my hopes up for any guaranteed money.

    I can’t BELIEVE you didn’t point out the possible tampering here, Florio: do you honestly think Schwartz got there at or after midnight?! Get on this! It’s what you do!

    Aren’t you a little young to have a wife? What are you, 14?

    The fact that you’re the first and only restricted free agent she’s visiting shows you how serious she is about extending you to a long term contract.
    Remind her that the tape don’t lie.

    Why don’t the lions go after someone in the draft? Vanden Bosch just seems really old to me and I don’t get why you would let Rodgers get away 3 years ago?? That is truly a dog and pony show up there in Rock City.

    Awesome. I hope we bring a few more D players too. Maybe even a few more old Titans like Pacman and Kerse. Even if they do suck they are immediate upgrades.

    Proof again that the MM era is behind us, I love seeing this. It’s almost as if the Lions front office might really care about winning again someday.

    @DieHardSkinsFan-
    I’ll tell you where the dog and pony show is Kid, it’s in Washington with your buddy Danny Synder at the helm. take a look in the mirror before you speak

    Since it’s a Lions coach, I hope he had pants on when he rang the doorbell.
