Lets be Clear Vikes need Offensive Coordinatorse for outside of the Box Why they did not have a Wildcat for the Playoffs is unforgivable Tavaris Percy Harvin and AP on any 3rd and 5 would have been the Offensive Formation to use for Field Goal Poition at the end of NFC Championship Game. Been watching for 40 years Now,, that Game was Fixed Whens the last time after a Timeout Too Many Men in the Huddle was called? How about the 3 calls the NFL apoligized for? 5 Turnovers and you can still Win? I know who the Best Team in the NFL is and so do the Zebras They stopped them. Peterson: 1 fumble every 49.9 touches
Taylor: 1 fumble every 58.8 touches
Tomlinson: 1 fumble every 126.3 touches
Adrian Peterson has as many fumbles in 3 years as Chester Taylor has had in the last 7 years and LT has had in the last 8 years.

Viking fan and self proclaimed strategist here.
I think the Vikings should draft or sign a strong young back to back up Peterson. If they do that, then I am fine with getting a Westbrook or LT as a 3rd down specialist.
Chester was capable of being a 3rd down specialist as well as a decent runner when needed but we can’t expect to fill those shoes with just one back. That was an unusual situation and it won’t happen again.
I just don’t want us to use LT, Peterson, and then Ian Johnson or Young because then we are one injury away from not being able to just run normal running plays with any fear factor.

To those who think this means the Vikings NOW can sign LT or Westbrook. The Vikings always could, and they still can sign either one (or both for that matter) and still get an UFA
players that become UFAs through the waiver system (ie. being released) are fair game for the final 4 teams, as are RFA who don’t get a tender. It’s just the short list of players that were scheduled to be UFAs that are limited to the Final 4

Everyone is a Vikings hater…I don’t want to even hear from a Packers fan (Ryan Grant) on anything that has to do with a running game.
With LT, we will have 2 of the best running backs in the last 20 years not named Barry Sanders on the Vikings. All this hate is simple jealousy…I love it.

Chester will be a good player for the Bears. It’s still wierd to give $7M guaranteed to a 30 year old back up running back when there already is a young RB in place with the same skill set. the Bears can sing the playoff tune again this off-season like last year, but the tune likely will be a bit off key, and certainly won’t be popular 2 years from now.

Chester Taylor going to the Bears won’t hurt the Vikings that much. L.T. ain’t comming here. They can draft an RB.
The Vikings have got some issues this off season. They had better figure out if that “Mississippi Boy” Mr. Favre is coming back or not. My bet is that he is not. Guess we can always go out and sign Jeff George again. O Hell, who needs Favre or George! In Sage we trust.

I walk away from the bears deal extremely confused…They have a starter Matt Forte yet they go and sign a 30 year old running back to a large 4 year deal? Chester probably wont be the start either? Was that a pressing need for the bears? I guess they are fine with turning kick returners into receivers?
weird, doesnt make any sense?
