We reported Friday that Chargers special-teams ace Kassim Osgood would launch his free-agent tour in Jacksonville.
Michael C. Wright of the Florida Times-Union noted earlier today that, indeed, Osgood is in Jacksonville, meeting with the Jaguars.
Per a league source, Osgood and the Jags are working on a deal. There’s a chance it gets wrapped up today.
Which means that there’s a chance that it won’t be.
We’re told that two other teams have strong interest in Osgood. For now, however, he’s in Jacksonville -- by all appearances (and to borrow a term that has become common over the past couple of days) it’s the Jags’ deal to lose.
