Report: Aaron Kampman is in Jacksonville

Aaron Kampman had the most mysterious first day of free agency among the top free agents.

He was rumored to be visiting Seattle, then Philadelphia, but didn’t wind up making either trip.  According to a report on Scout.com’s JagNation, he spent Friday night in Jacksonville.

PFT is still working to confirm Kampman is actually there.  It’s not fair, but the fact the news was broken by a guy with this Twitter avatar isn’t helping.  (Sorry, Alfie. As a 14-year-old trying to make it writing about football, I experience similar discrimination.)

We’ll be following up on this report once we know more.  Jacksonville does have a major need at end; they were also in contact with Lions defensive end Jared DeVries Friday.

I never understood why people say this Franchise is cheap or doesnt spend money when it comes to players. If you look at their history they have signed quite a few high priced free agents and take care of their own. Their only problem is that most of the free agents they sign turn out to be busts ie. Bryce Paup, hugh douglas, jerry porter…

all decent players want out of Green Bay – bad management will drive the players away.. just ask your pro bowl safety – Collins – he wants out!

Alfie is a regular on a local sports show hosted by CBS writer Pete Prisco. If Alfie said he is here in Jacksonville, then he probably is. I know Pete said he wouldn’t pay him the money to bring him to Jax.

Hey The Devil – go back to Minnesota and look forward to another year of Favre throwing back-breaking picks. Clifton could have signed in Washington but wanted to stay in Green Bay. Packers will take care of Collins – he just wants to get paid.

    The Devil:
What proof do you have? How about a link to any statements made by Collins or anyone for that matter. Until then STFU.

No, jackass, he just wanted to get paid. Has nothing to do with management issues, only $$.

Hey dumb ass – so if all decent players want out, why did Rodgers and Jennings just sign contract extensions? And clifton had the same deal from the skins but offered the packers a chance to match. You are a F,ing moran.
Get over your love affair with Favre and find another team to complain about.
Kampman is a DE in a 4-3 defense. The packers do not have a roster spot for a guy coming off a knee injury playing out of position.
