Restricted free agent Sensabaugh drawing interest

With many big name unrestricted free agents already off the market, the restricted free agent  market could pick up soon.

One name already drawing interest is Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh.  Dallas placed a second round tender on him, but the five-year veteran has three possible visits “in the planning stages” according to Ed Thompson of Scout.com.

Frankly, we’re a little surprised.  Sensabaugh played well last year, but didn’t draw a ton of interest when he was available last year as an unrestricted free agent.

There have also been rumblings of Sensabaugh getting a long-term deal in Dallas, so it may be tough to come up with an offer sheet that the Cowboys won’t match.

We learned two things about Sensabaugh in the playoffs: On the big stage, under the bright lights, he can’t cover and he can’t tackle. Looked okay in regular season games against average competition.

He’s of NO interest on THIS thread!…MOVE OUT!

He was a great safety for us last year (except for that Vikings game). He hit hard and was in position. He’ll be a Cowboy next season

Yeah you might want to ask the 0-3gles about that.

If its in the first half of the second round, I’d rather have the pick than Sensabaugh.

He likes to collect guns illegally

He’d certainly be an upgrade for the Eagles. Not sure how the draft looks for safeties, though. Is this guy worth a 2nd?

“He’d certainly be an upgrade for the Eagles”. Just about every post here about a free agent some Eagles fan pipes up saying he be good for their team. They must be a pretty lousy team for their fans to be looking at just about everybody.

voxveritas – you won’t find Sensabaugh mentionioned in the games stories of the win over the half-arsed Eagles – and all but the legally blind saw him have his lunch eaten by the Vikes.

Oh, so that’s how you measure success? You GOTTA be a Vikes fan. As such, you probably can’t read well enough to make such a determination in the first place.

I’m pretty sure that Sensabaugh is still looking for the pass that Sidney Rice caught for a touchdown in the first quarter of the divisional playoffs.

Most of the time they’re right. That team has more holes than swiss cheese. Seriously, they’re weak in every position group. I could be kind and say that they have a good WR corps but I just can’t do it. I like Maclin but what I say about Jackson is true, he can’t get open because he can’t run anything but a fly route. His only weapon is speed. Bump him at the line, bracket him deep, he disappears. Celek is pretty good but he benefits by being the guy that defenses are most willing to let free. You can give up that short stuff all day to the 0-3gles because this is not a team that’s going to be able to sustain many long drives without self-destructing somewhere along the way. Don’t even get me started on the D, never saw two guys that could not play man coverage to save their lives making so much money. Roy L. Williams says that both of their safeties and all of their linebackers suck. Trent Cole’s the only guy that’s as good as advertised.
